Football Manager 26 joins Xbox Game Pass with The Outer Worlds 2 in second October drop

The second Xbox Game Pass drop of October has arrived, adding multiple big titles including The Outer Worlds 2 and Football Manager 26

Xbox Game Pass has plenty more to reveal following its significant price increase, delivering a game in a series that has been eagerly awaited for a comeback.

We're a good month on from it now, but the Xbox Game Pass price hike is still the hot topic when it comes to discussion of the subscription service. PS Plus has managed to carry on as normal with its deployments as it gets suitably spooky with the PS Plus October 2025 Extra and Premium games, but Xbox Game Pass' first October drop failed to distract from the new hefty dent that the Ultimate tier of the service plans to make in user wallets everywhere.

It's a difficult situation for players to find themselves in, and as they rush to the internet to find out how to cancel Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft is forced to bring out the big guns to retain players. And, in some ways, they've done so with the latest update for the service.

So, what's new in the second Xbox Game Pass update of the month? Here's what you need to know about the incoming games.

Xbox Game Pass October drop 2

The second Xbox Game Pass drop of October has arrived courtesy of a new blog post from Microsoft. Here's everything that's coming to the service across its tiers:

Xbox Game Pass Premium

  • Halls of Torment (Xbox Series X|S, cloud, PC) – Tuesday, October 28
  • 1000xResist (Xbox Series X|S, cloud, PC) – Tuesday, October 28

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

  • PowerWash Simulator 2 (Xbox Series X|S, cloud, PC) – Thursday, October 23
  • Bounty Star (Xbox Series X|S, cloud, PC) – Thursday, October 23
  • Super Fantasy Kingdom Game Preview (PC) – Friday, October 24
  • The Outer Worlds 2 (Xbox Series X|S, cloud, PC) – Wednesday, October 29
  • Football Manager 26 (PC) – Tuesday, November 4
  • Football Manager 26 Console (console, cloud, PC) – Tuesday, November 4

There are some massive titles here, indeed. The Outer Worlds 2 has been a significant part of Xbox's recent marketing, but the arrival of Football Manager 26 on both PC and console is set to be a game-changer, especially after it took a year off to enhance its gameplay and aim for the top spot in its franchise.

It's going to be thrilling to see if Football Manager 26 lives up to the hype, and even more so to play it on its release day. If you're a fan of the series, this makes the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate all the more enticing.

Xbox Game Pass October games leaving

Regrettably, a few games have to make way for these new arrivals this month. Even though there are great titles among them, there isn't much to lose this time around.

Here are the games departing this month:

  • Jusant (console, cloud, PC)
  • Metal Slug Tactics (console, cloud, PC)
  • Return to Monkey Island (console, cloud, PC)

We're fortunate not to be facing a major exodus here, even if Jusant is a fantastic adventure to bid farewell to. Fancy swapping climbing for managing a football club? Well, that might be pushing it.
