UK supermarket is selling Cadbury’s selection boxes for just 25p
The news comes as the retailer announced it is going back to basics, amid news that the store was struggling financially, bosses have said they plan to increase the number of bargains available
A UK shop is offering a huge saving on Christmas chocolate right now, for those of us already planning ahead to the festive season.
The bargain retailer is currently selling 25p Cadbury’s selection boxes for £2.50 cheaper than a rival supermarket. The news comes as Poundland announced it is going back to basics, amid news that the discount store was struggling financially.
Bosses have said they plan to increase the number of things available for just £1. The Cadbury's 25p selection box weighs in at 125g and includes a selection of favourite treats such as Cadbury's Dairy Milk Freddo Caramel, Fudge, Crunchie, Dairy Milk Little Bar, Treatsize Buttons and a Wispa. Iceland are selling an identical selection box for £2.50.
You will have to head down to your local Poundland store in person to grab this bargain as the website no longer offers delivery on products.
A statement on the site reads: "We’re currently working very hard behind the scenes to simplify and refocus our stores. And that means very soon there’ll be even more ranges at £1 and new items to choose from each week.
"Unfortunately, we will no longer be providing an online delivery service from the 16th September 2025. While we know most of our online shoppers also visit us regularly in stores (thank you!), we know this will be disappointing to all who’ve been using our online ordering service."
If you are looking to save money and stock up on choccies ahead of the festive season the big supermarkets are also offering cheap deals at the moment.
Morrisons has slashed the price of a variety of chocolate tubs from £7 to just £4.50 meanwhile Tesco have also reduced prices on some tubs to match their competitor. Tubs of Cadbury's Heroes and Roses are reduced to just £5.25 while Nestle Celebrations and Quality Street are also available for £4.50.
Meanwhile Sainsbury’s have also started slashing prices on chocolates with Heroes and Roses tubs down from £7 to £4.50 while a large box of Milk Tray will see its price halved from £11 to £5.50
The Sainsbury’s discounts began on Wednesday September 17 and will run until Sunday September 21. They are only on offer to people who have a Nectar Card.
