Plane makes emergency landing after what passenger 'wearing 15 face masks' did

A plane was forced to land after a passenger is said to have gone on a mid-air rampage, telling others 'Trump is here' and blaming LGBTQ people for 'cooking' him

A plane had to make an emergency landing after a passenger who was wearing “no less than 15 face masks” allegedly began screaming that LGBTQ people were giving him cancer.

The US domestic flight was forced to land after a passenger is said to have gone on a mid-air rampage, at one point telling passengers: “Trump is here.”

The flight, from Minneapolis-St. Paul to Newark, New Jersey was forced to make a detour. Eyewitnesses said the man began screaming “the plane is going down” and ranting about the LGBTQ community. The plane was ordered back to earth “as a precaution in response to a disruptive passenger”, a Sun Country Airlines spokesperson told The Minnesota Star Tribune.

Meanwhile Seth Evans, a passenger making his way from his native Minnesota back to New York City, told reporters he had been sitting just across the aisle from the unidentified man who was wearing a massive stack of medical masks.

Mr Evans described how chaos ensued as soon as the plane took off from Minneapolis. He said the man would abruptly jump out of his seat between rounds of Candy Crush, suddenly erupting into screams about being “radiated” by the LGBTQ community.

At one point the deranged traveller began ranting about being “gang chased” and “cooked” by LGBTQ people, which he said had been causing him to suffer from cancer, Mr Evans said. Mr Evans heard the passenger declaring: “Trump is here.”

The man continued to rave onboard the flight but it was not until he said “the plane is going down” that the flight was diverted to Chicago, where the ranting man was handcuffed and removed by Chicago police.

Meanwhile the aircraft, packed with frustrated passengers, sat motionless on the runway after those onboard were told to stay in their seats while US Marshals and cops questioned them about the incident.

“The flight landed without incident and the passenger in question was turned over to law enforcement and removed from the aircraft,” Sun Country Airlines explained, adding: “We appreciate our passengers’ patience during the interruption to their travels and the flight is continuing on to Newark this morning.”

The case has been taken on by the FBI. The news comes just days after a woman was duct-taped into her seat by crew on a Las Vegas-bound flight after a bizarre rant in which she allegedly admitted trying to poison her father.

Ketty J. Dilone walked through the cabin shouting and threatening multiple flight attendants on September 16, according to the United States Attorney’s Office District of Nevada.
