Thousands of people worldwide reported outages across the Microsoft 365 network for a number of hours on Thursday.
Some people complained that they were not able to use key services like Microsoft Teams, Azure and even Minecraft. The tech giant said it was working to resolve the outage preventing people from using several major services.
According to Downdetector, outages on Microsoft 365 were at their peak at around 10am, with hundreds more reports coming from Azure, Teams and the Microsoft Store. "Azure customers using Azure Front Door (AFD) from EMEA, Middle East and Africa may experience intermittent delays or timeouts when accessing their services," Microsoft confirmed.
"Azure customers using Azure Front Door (AFD) should see consistent availability with slightly higher latencies decreasing as we continue to recover additional resources."

'Intermittent delays' possible but services being restored
Microsoft has confirmed that some Azure customers using Azure Front Door (AFD) "may experience intermittent delays or timeouts when accessing their services". On the whole, however, the issues are not impacting that many users.
The company said: "Azure customers using Azure Front Door (AFD) should see consistent availability with slightly higher latencies decreasing as we continue to recover additional resources."
Microsoft's Windows 10 warning
Now also seems a good time to remind everyone about Microsoft's plans to end all free support for its popular Windows 10 platform, and anyone still using it after October 14 could find their devices are at serious risk of bugs and cyber attacks.
Microsoft has been warning users for a while that they need to upgrade to Windows 11 or consider signing up for Extended Security Updates - which will keep Windows 10 PCs safe for the next three years.
The team at Which? estimates that 21 million people may still own and use a laptop or computer running Windows 10 in the UK. Once Microsoft stops providing free support, it will no longer release security updates or critical patches, which means devices still running this OS will be at a significantly greater risk.
Microsoft outages continue
The latest outage comes after users reported issues with Microsoft 365 services and the Microsoft 365 services admin centre on Wednesday.
Services were impacted for around two hours before Microsoft fixed the issue.

The update reads: "Our monitoring detected a significant capacity loss of about 30% of Azure Front Door instances, predominantly across Europe, Middle East, and Africa. We understand that this is due to a dependency on some underlying Kubernetes instances that crashed. We have ruled out any deployments that could have triggered this event.
"We have been restarting these underlying Kubernetes instances, and AFD instances are coming back online. Customers should start seeing recovery as we bring these instances back online, and we expect full mitigation within the next 90 minutes."
