EastEnders drops 'huge clue' about Jasmine's 'real mum' - and 'why' she's in Walford
EastEnders fans learnt even more about newcomer Jasmine Fisher during tonight's episode, as she was taken to hospital after being hit by Nigel Bates' car
The residents of Walford were shocked during tonight's EastEnders episode, as newcomer Jasmine Fisher and Gina Knight were rushed to hospital after they were hit by Nigel Bates in a hit and run.
Last night, Nigel snuck out for one last drive in his car, and when he received a phone call from his wife Julie, distracting him and making him zoom into Jasmine, who pushed Gina out the way. Since his arrival earlier this year, fans have seen Nigel's heartbreaking struggle with dementia.
In tonight's episode, we saw him confused about the situation, with Julie convincing him that she was the one who was driving.
As he got out the car, Jasmine begged him to call an ambulance, as she became unconscious due to loss of blood. As she was drifting out of consciousness, she could be heard saying: "I can't die like this! She needs to pay for what she did." Has Jasmine come for revenge on Cindy? Many fans think so.
During Jasmine's time in Walford, she's been getting extremely close to Cindy, making sure to get a job in the Albert. When she did land the job, Jasmine has been seen prying into Cindy's past, even asking her daughter Gina about her past life.
This led many viewers to believe she was related to Jackie Ford, Cindy's former cellmate, who she turned on, which resulted in her getting a reduced sentence and later being placed into witness protection.
When Jackie died in prison last year, Cindy was able to return back to her real identity. Many believed Jackie could be Jasmine's mum, but tonight, the doctor informed George and Oscar that they had rang her mother, although she wouldn't be coming.
Therefore, if her mother is alive, it can't be Jackie - or could it?
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter to theorise about Jasmine's motives and mother, one fan penned: "She needs to pay for what she’s done… Jasmine’s family is defo the Fords," while another said: "so cindy ruined jasmine’s life too.."
"Ok so Jasmine is with the family that Cindy helped to put away and had her in witness protection," said a third, as a fourth agreed: "Jasmine, you’ve been run over, you’re bleeding, and the first thing on your mind is revenge on Cindy? Anyway. Poor reveal. We knew."
Others were convinced Jackie was her biological mum, as one penned: "I’m calling it now. Strong prediction: Jasmine is Jackie Ford’s biological daughter & the mum that was meant to come to the hospital is her adoptive mum."
But who is Jasmine and how long will it be until we find out her true background and intentions?
