Where is A Paedophile In My Family's Emily Victoria now?

Emily Victoria spoke out about being sexually abused by her father from a young age

A Paedophile In My Family: Surviving dad is on Netflix, having originally aired on Channel 4 in 2023.

The devastating documentary follows the journey of Emily Victoria, who endured sexual abuse at the hands of her father from the age of just two until she turned 17.

Emily chose to give up her right to anonymity whilst challenging those who missed the warning signs of her abuse throughout the programme.

Raised in an isolated Dorset village alongside two brothers, she suffered molestation by her father before fleeing home as a teenager.

In 2009, she contacted police about the abuse, explaining she "didn't consider telling anyone anything" until she reached approximately 17 years old, reports the Express.

Her father faced arrest and received a 14-year prison sentence, with his daughter later trying to arrange a meeting after his release.

Nevertheless, he turned down her request, prompting her to say: "I wasn't surprised. He's been a coward his whole life. But I think there's potential to have that conversation with him in future."

She explained the documentary has allowed her to "release" some of the guilt, though acknowledged she "has bad days".

She revealed: "I have lost that feeling of shame which was implanted in my brain at a young age, and that you carry with you, even if your adult brain knows you are not at fault. I now feel free of the past."

Now in her mid-30s, she is a mother of one and has continued to raise awareness for survivors of sexual abuse. Earlier in 2025, she teamed up with the NSPCC at a Voices for Change event to discuss the urgent need for support for vulnerable children.

Speaking to Channel 4, she expressed her determination to understand why child sexual abuse often goes unnoticed and how it can be prevented in the future.

She further stated: "By talking openly in meaningful dialogue and supporting ongoing initiatives, like those of the NSPCC, we can create change and influence policy. I want to ensure others know there is help available when they need it the most."

Emily also recently participated in a Power Summit event where she had a conversation with founder Perry Power.
