Bridgerton star's Heartstopper cameo leaves Netflix viewers saying the same thing
After the highly-anticipated third season of Heartstopper dropped on Netflix this week, fans have been taking to social media to share their reactions.
Fans of the beloved series Heartstopper are over the moon after diving into its third season on Netflix, gushing over their favourite moments and characters on various social platforms.
The newest episodes have brought in Bridgerton's Jonathan Bailey as Jack Maddox, the Instagram star who captures Charlie's (Joe Locke) heart.
Viewers couldn't wait to hit Reddit with their thoughts on Bailey's brief but delightful cameo, pointing out that it left them craving more, reports the Mirror.
A fan commented: "Would have loved to see his cameo a little bit longer but I like the way they did Jonny's cameo. Start of more projects like this which he could be part of or help be part of telling."
Another shared: "It is the cutest cameo. I found myself smiling the whole time... ha ha! But I wanted more. They promoted it a lot just for a couple of minutes. Got my hopes high." (sic)
And yet another penned: "He's an absolutely perfect addition to the cast, I just wish he was cast as a regular instead of a guest appearance."
The buzz around Jonathan's cameo had been swirling since it was confirmed he'd appear in the hit Netflix original.
At the Met Gala in May, Jonathan spilled to Variety his adoration for the show, saying: "Like so many people, I watched the first [season] and thought it was one of the biggest, most beautiful gifts to so many people, and I wish I had that growing up."
Jonathan's passion for Heartstopper shines through, and he didn't just dream of joining the cast he made it a reality.
He shared his enthusiasm about the project, revealing: "I had a mutual friend who knows [executive producer Patrick Walters] and I just said, 'If there's anything I could do to help and be a part of that story.'"
On the significance of the series, he added: "It's not just for our community. It's for every person who is a member of a family who has a member of the LGBT+ community. It helps all of us."
The LGBTQ+ series, inspired by Alice Oseman's graphic novels, examines the lives of teenagers Charlie (Joe Locke) and Nick (Kit Connor), charting the ups and downs of their relationship.
Despite being madly in love at the start of season three, the duo faces numerous challenges throughout the series.
Ending on a dramatic note, the season finale sees Nick facing a dilemma over potentially moving to Leeds for university, which could spell trouble for his relationship with Charlie.
Heartstopper season three is available to watch on Netflix now.
