Introduction:
This presentation provides a concise review of key features and layout of Abu Dhabi International Building Codes with specific
emphasise on the Structural provisions.

About the Speaker:


Farhad has been actively involved in modelling, analysis and design of high rise structures as well as applied structural
dynamics, earthquake resistant design and seismic base isolation of buildings over the past 14 years. He has co-authored
"Seismic design using structural dynamics (2006/2009 IBC, ASCE 7-05)" with S. K. Ghosh which serves as an ICC reference in
this field. Farhad has been teaching Earthquake Engineering at graduate level in Heriot-Watt University in Dubai and providing
training on ADIBC structural design provisions for Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Western Region municipalities.
