Reference Model Scale
1. Purpose and description
Reference Model Scale scales reference models by defining a distance between
two selected points in the model.

3. Installation
To install the application:
1. Close down Tekla Structures (if running)
2. Download MSI Installer from Tekla extranet
3. Install and run MSI Installer
4. Start up Tekla Structures
5. Create a new model or open an existing model
6. Drag and dock the new toolbar
4. Usage
To use the application:
1. Launch the Reference Model Scaler toolbar.
2. Select first point in model. Typically a start point of a dimenson that is known or
visible on the pdf in view.
3. Select second point in model. Typically the end point of a dimension that is known.
4. Enter value between two selected points in feet-inches.
5. Enter OK.
6. Reference model will scale accordingly relative from the global UCS.

When scaling 2d pdfs, how do I ensure the accuracy of the scaling?
The selection of two points is as accurate as the snapping settings. Typically the Selection
Geometry Points selection switch and the Intersection snaps should be active.

6. Example
1. Import Files> Insert reference model or Insert pdf document.
2. Run Reference Model Scale toolbar if pdf already exists in the model.
3. Select first point
4. Select second point

6. Pdf document is scaled.
