Translate API sign up instructions
Step 1. Sign up
Subscribe to the Microsoft Translator 'dataset' in the Windows Azure Marketplace (requires a
Windows Live ID to sign in) at
https://datamarket.azure.com/dataset/1899a118-d202-492c-aa16-ba21c33c06cb
If you do not already have a Windows Live ID, you will need to sign up for one first.

Fill required fields, switch ON I agree checkbox, click Continue and you will be directed to

Switch ON I have read and agree checkbox, click Sign UP.

Step 2. Get Customer ID
Get your Customer ID by clicking on the link https://datamarket.azure.com/account

Copy Customer ID. It should be used at the next step.

Step 3. Register application
'Register an Application' by clicking the 'Register' button on the Windows Azure 'Developers'
page: https://datamarket.azure.com/developer/applications/

Once you click Register you will see a new screen like the one below. Fill the fields as shown in
the screenshot below (leave unmarked fields as is) and click Create.

Step 4. Excel Addin configuration for Microsoft Translate
Once, you have followed the steps above you have all that you need to configure the Microsoft
Translate (Bing) for Excel software.
Follow the steps below to configure the Addin with Client Secret.

Using Google Translator Google API sign
up instructions
Step 1. Enable Translate API
Login to Google API Console by going to the link below
https://code.google.com/apis/console/
You will be required to sign up with your Google ID. Then page like below will be presented.
Find Enable and manage APIs and click it.

After that you will be directed to the API manager page as below. Find and click Translate
API link.

Enable Translate API by turning ON Enable switcher. See screen below

Step 2. Create API key
You should create a new key. For that go to Credentials page and click Create credentials

On the Pop-up window click Browser key

On the next window center any ame in the Name field. Leave following field empty Accept requests
from these HTTP referrers (web sites). Click Create.

Created API key will be presented on the next pop-up window. Copy API key.

Step 3. Enable Billing
Before you can use the API key that you have created in the previous step, you will need to enable
Billing in google API console.
Google charges you for this service at the rate of $20 per 1 M characters of text. The detailed information
of Googles pricing for Translation engine is available at the link below
https://developers.google.com/translate/v2/pricing
On the opened page you will see steps to enable billing for your project. Click Project settings link and
follow next steps. See screen below.

(Note: you may use Microsoft (Bing) API as well in case you do not want to be charged. Bing translate
engine will give you Upto 2 Million Characters for Free per month).
