Masterclass for IELTS Trainers

Workshop Information

The Masterclass for IELTS Trainers is an 18-hour workshop delivered over 3 days for trainers who
want to prepare candidates to take the IELTS examination. The trainer may or may not have prior
IELTS coaching experience.

Each day will include 6 hours tuition of input and will be divided into the following sessions:

 Developing speaking skills


 Developing reading skills
 Developing listening skills
 Developing writing skills
 Detailed description about the IELTS exam
 Following instructions
 Exam strategies
 Evaluating resources
 Teaching exam classes
 Question and answer sessions

Who is it for?
The workshop is best suited for trainers who want to prepare candidates who want to take up the
IELTS examination.

How will the workshop help?


On this workshop you will
 develop your skills in teaching speaking, listening, writing and reading for the IELTS exam
 learn how to use teaching materials and activities to prepare students for the IELTS
examination
 learn how to effectively prepare students for the exam using a variety of different strategies
 have the opportunity to share your knowledge and skills with other professionals in your field
 be provided with professionally developed materials which cater to your needs

On this workshop you will not:


 find out or discuss the IELTS marking criteria as this information is strictly confidential
 discuss the merits of the IELTS exam – the exam has been written by trained experts and we
have no remit to change the exam

*All participants who complete this training will be given a certificate of attendance

Age: 18+ (adult Learners)

Fee: INR 16000

Methodology
We believe that learners need to be actively involved in the process of training. Your trainer will
introduce skills development and sound pedagogical practices as well give you the opportunity to try
out some of those skills and techniques in pairs and groups. Each workshop will have a maximum of
20 participants so that your trainer can give some individual attention to each participant.

Trainers
Our trainers are highly proficient speakers of English. They are CELTA qualified and / or have a
wealth of teaching and training experience. They all have internationally recognised qualifications in
teaching English as a Foreign Language and are trained in the latest communicative methodology.

Final confirmation of workshop dates will be made only 2 weeks before the advertised workshop
dates. Participants are advised NOT to make any travel arrangements until they have had WRITTEN
confirmation from us that the workshop dates are confirmed.
