Eureka Lab Analysis: Innovation Center, CBL

The Eureka Lab uses lasers, pigments, and creativity to develop advanced denim prototypes and technologies like Project F.L.X., which digitizes the design process. The lab aims to reduce environmental impacts through technologies that lower greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and time/chemicals needed for production. It has laser machines, washing/drying equipment, sewing machines, and an ozone machine to finish garments with minimal water and zero discharge. Staff include designers, developers, chemists and engineers working on projects like F.L.X. to automate finishing and enable responsive, sustainable supply chains.

EUREKA LAB ANALYSIS

INNOVATION CENTER, CBL

What is Eureka?
Eureka is dedicated to design, research and creative
development, and creating advanced denim prototypes. It
also served as the birthplace of Project F.L.X., a laser-
powered technology that digitizes the design and
development of denim finishing.

Basic purpose:
The lab “uses lasers, pigments, and ingenuity to keep the
jeans maker technologically fashion-forward.

Business benefit:
By owned there operating facilities we can reduce the
greenhouse gas emissions.
By adopting these operating technologies we can
reduce water consumption.
By adopting advance technology we can save our
time in production as well as we can increase our
production.

Assets required for CBL lab:

Laser machines:
Flexi Pro
Flexi Pro is the most efficient and accurate textile laser
system on the market designed for large productions. This
laser marking machine is capable of working with all kinds
of garments because it is equipped with a CMT and
mannequin
Benefits:
It reduces handling and transition times.
It increases production capacity.
Pro mannequin is multi-size and works with all fits on the
market.
TWIN PRO:
Twin Pro is the most productive and powerful laser
marking system on the market designed for large
productions of jeans. Equipped with two laser heads
working on both legs at the same time, this laser marking
machine is ready to increase your production capacity.

OZONE MACHINE:
G2 CUBE:
G2 is the latest and most eco efficient ozone textile
technology. G2 cube allows for industrial production with
dry or wet garments. In dry processes the ozone
effectively cleans the garment, improving the whiteness of
used areas and eliminating the back staining. By applying
ozone to wet garments we accomplish the bleaching effect
without chemicals and in just one step. This sustainable
process can be used to fade down colors in denim .

Washing machine:
Need some washing machines for giving washing to
denim.
Tumble dryer:
Tumble dryer for drying the garments.

Sewing machine:
Sewing machine required for stitching purposes.
e-Flow:
e-Flow technology can accomplish a considerable number
of finishing effects with the highest quality, a minimal
amount of water and zero discharge. Among the many
finishing effects are softening, tinting flow and 3D effects
with resins, stone flow and random flow.

Skill inventory of Eureka lab:

Eureka Innovation Lab have a team of designers,
developers, chemists and engineers who are passionate
about revolutionizing the apparel industry to better meet
consumer needs while also doing right by the planet and
the people who work in the apparel supply chain.

Major Project of Eureka Lab:

Project F.L.X. digitizes the design and development of
denim finishing and enables a responsive and sustainable
supply chain at an unparalleled scale. By replacing
manual techniques and automating the jeans finishing
process, LS&Co. is able to radically reduce time to market
and eliminate thousands of chemical formulations from
jeans finishing. In short, LS&Co. achieves the ultimate
balance of agility and sustainability, while upholding the
Levi’s standards of craftsmanship, quality and authenticity.

Advancement:
Create “photo-real” finished garments digitally
Replace manual techniques and automate the time-
consuming, labor-intensive and chemical reliant
process of hand-finishing
Take advantage of on-demand and even hyper-local
production capabilities

Purpose:
To build setup like eureka lab this is based on
technologies and environmental friendly process.
