AJP REPORT
Tax Calculation Management System

1) Rationale
Java technology is widely used for web applications development. Based on the
object oriented concepts and core Java concepts, this course will equip the students
with the required knowledge and skill of object oriented programming approach
needed for the development of robust, powerful web applications. Through this course
students will get hands-on experience on GUI Technologies viz. AWT and Swings,
event handling mechanisms and network programming. The course also gives
coverage to various web applications aspects like Database Interaction, server side
components and servlets.
2) Aim Benefits of Micro project:
a) Understanding the concepts of Advanced Java Programming.
b) Understand the concepts of Classes, Functions, Constructors, Strings etc.
3) Course Outcomes Addressed.
a) Develop program using GUI Framework.
b) Develop program using database.

4) Literature Review:
• Class: The building block of Java that leads to Object Oriented programming is a
Class. It is a user defined data type, which holds its own data members and member
functions, which can be accessed and used by creating an instance of that class. A
class is like a blueprint for an object.
• The idea is to put some commonly or repeatedly done task together and make a
function, so that instead of writing the same code again and again for different inputs,
we can call the function.
• A constructor is a member function of a class which initializes objects of a class. In
Java Constructor is automatically called when object(instance of class) create. It is
special member function of the class.
5) Actual Methodology
a) Design code related to our Topic.
b) Debug the code.
c) Prepare Proposal.
d) Prepare Report.

6) Resources Required
Sr. Name of resources Specifications Quantity
No.

1 Microsoft word Word 2016 1

2 Jdk Jdk 1.7.0_75 1

3 Netbeans IDE Netbeans IDE 8.2 1

7) Outputs of the Microproject:

Code:

Output:-
CONCLUSION
We had to perform activities include Tax Calculation Management System, and one hands-on
lab experience create database in database table , we created a small program using Netbeans
IDE 8.2 .Then we Execute the basic program of Tax Calculation Management System and
store student data in in database table and link between Microsoft access.
Skill Developed /Learning Outcome of this Micro-Project
In this we have learned the Advanced Java Programming. We have learned the concept of
GUI programming and learned the use of database in the system. We have implemented the
Tax Calculation Management System in our programming.
