Travel and Tourism Management System 2019-20

INTRODUCTION
The Travel and Tourism Management System is a web based application. The main
purpose of “Travel and Tourism management system” is to provide a convenient way for a
customer to book hotels, flight, train and bus for tour purposes. The objective of this
project is to develop a system that automates the processes and activities of a travel agency.
In this project, We will make an easier task of searching places and for booking train, flight
or bus. In the present system a customer has to approach various agencies to find details of
places and to book tickets. This often requires a lot of time and effort.

We provide approach skills to critically examine how a tourist visits and its ability to
operate in an appropriate way when dealing with the consequences of tourism, locally,
regionally, and nationally including visitor security and ecological influences. It is tedious for
a customer to plan a particular journey and have it executed properly. The project ‘Travel and
Tourism Management System’ is developed to replace the currently existing system, which
helps in keeping records of the customer details of destination as well as payment
received.This will be one of the interesting projects that one can work on and implement in
real time world. The user interface must be simple and easy to understand.

EXISTING SYSTEM
 In the present system a customer has to approach various agencies to find details of
places and to book tickets. This often requires a lot of time and effort.

 A customer may not get the desired information from these offices and often the
customer may be misguided.

 It is tedious for a customer to plan a particular journey and have it executed properly.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
 The proposed system is a web based application and maintains a centralized
repository of all related information.

 The system allows one to easily access the relevant information and make necessary
travel arrangements.

 Users can decide about places they want to visit and make bookings online for travel
and accommodation.

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:

 Main memory : 512 MB RAM


 Hard Disk : 40 GB
 Hard disk speed : 5400 RPM
 Monitor : 1024x768 display resolution

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:

 Operating system : Windows XP, 7, 8, 10, Linux Based OS, MAC etc.
 Tool Use : XAMPP, VS code.
 Front End : HTML, CSS, JS.
 Back End : PHP, MySQL.
