1. Marketing today has raised the issue about the value of marketing to society. There are
two school of thoughts on the this, viz
 Marketing is a manipulative and wasteful activity damaging to society as a whole.
 Marketing is beneficial and productive activity that improves the quality of
people’s lives.

List out at least five reasons for your belief on each of the above statement

2. A client is developing a new product and wants to know if there's a market for it. How do
you determine whether there is a market? What steps will you take, what processes will
you use?
