What is the scope of the work? Replacing of elevator rope

Method Statement Work procedure

Inform the customer: Inform the customer about the work description.

Safety Tool Box Talk Conduct TBT /STEPBACK with the Team; conducting STARRT / JHA by the supervisor; Discuss Hazard and Risk Assessment which
will be involved during work. Inspect all the tools are certified before start of work. Valid TPC Required to all lifting gears.

Warning signs Place the caution signage board and barricading the place where risk of falling exists.

PPE Required Hand gloves, Safety shoes, full body harness, safety goggles. Dust mask. Safety helmet.

Buffering the counter weight Buffering the counter weight by using support of hydraulic Jacky beams.

Hanging the car Hang the car by using appropriate chain block and webbing slings. (All required TPC) Make sure to Safety parts.

Arrest the main ropes Arresting the main ropes by using bulldog clips / Rope slings.
Removing of defective rope Removing of defective ropes one by one.

Fixing the new rope Fixing the new ropes by means of mechanical / manual aid.

Free the main ropes By removing the bulldog clips / Rope slings.

Free the car from hanging Un-hang the car by removing the chain block.

Removing of support beams Remove the support beams under the counter weight.

Operate the Elevator in Inspection Operate the elevator in inspection mode.
