This assignment contributes to 50% assessment for this module. The deliverables are:

1. Group Report (70%) and Individual Presentation (30%) = 100%

Group report
Prepare a report of analysing (1) one of the topics below. You are to attach a softcopy of
your answer in CD format together with your written assignment when making your
submission on the designated date.

Assignment question
Choose ONE of the successful companies from www.techinasia.com that you are
interested and prepare a group report based on the following requirements.

1) Describe an interesting new development or new venture that is growing

exponentially currently and examine how this new development or new venture
started. Support your research with relevant data from reliable sources.
2) Discuss how this company started this new development or new venture: how did
they find its market opportunity and take advantage of its core competence to turn
itself into a fast growing business.
3) Evaluate what are the most important factors for their fast growth. Please provide
detailed discussion about the factors.
4) Discuss some of the current challenges that this company has to overcome in this
new development or new venture. Suggest or recommend to this company for
expanding further in your geographical region or other countries for their future
direction/growth.
5) Finally, what will be the future prospects of this company and in your opinion, will
this company soar high in the future?

Additional Information
1. You should have a minimum of 20 references to substantiate your research and report.

2. You are recommended to use journals instead of only books for your references in
order to provide more up-to-date information to support your writing.

Many key issues are ignored. Writing is undermined with many
grammatical and spelling errors.
