Executive Summary
Elon Musk once popularly said that ‘engineering is the closest thing to magic in this
world’, and this philosophy is reverberated in every aspect of this proposal for
Cassandras. This proposal crosses the barriers of the human imagination and mind and
develops a settlement that reaches the extremities within the laws of physics and
nature. Some especially prominent features that enable our settlement to stand out are:

Extreme structural integrity through the careful selection of strong materials such as
carbon nanotubes; further enhanced by thoughtful selections of shapes that have proven
to be extremely resilient against large pressure

Extremely efficient design choices that improve on the human experience, leading to
cheaper costing and unparalleled human comfort and engagement in the cismartian
region of space.

A central unpressurized non-rotating cylinder for enhanced docking and transfers of

passengers. The central cylinder is surrounded by a small microgravity ring that features
activities and recreation for passengers in different situations.

Separation of residential regions that are accessible to passengers and residents into 3
distinct volumes in the Trien sphere region of Cassandras; each volume unique with a
different human experience onboard that allows us to tailor the experience to each
passenger/resident’s whims and fancies

Warp speed transportation between different residential volumes and the central section
using novel technologies like hyperloops with operating speeds of up to 1200 km/h.

Carefully crafted day-night cycles that increase productivity of everyone onboard

Cassandras using technologies such as electrochromic glasses; adheres to the 24 hour
day-night cycle on Earth to make it easier for acclimation to the journey.

Quick communication and network systems that can transfer heavy loads to data at
incredible speeds using innovative technologies such as Li-Fi; astonishingly easy intra-
settlement communication using Neuralink.

Highly effective cargo and warehousing facilities that can allow extreme storage;
capacity for 12,500 CASSSCs onboard in which residents and passengers can store
anything they may desire. Presence of limited quick access CASSSCs (2500 in total) that
are brought to residents/passengers at the push of a button.

Unparalleled human comfort and experience driven by the array of activities and
recreational facilities, dining options and retail experience offered onboard that make
the 80 day trip fly by.

Exquisite variety of housing options to allow for a comfortable experience, enhanced by

using technologies such as AR and smart mirrors.

Minimal human intervention needed - a plethora of bots that allow residents to sit back
and relax while the automated technologies take care of everything.

Thank you for taking the time to read this proposal and we hope that you select our
company for constructing Cassandras.

2.0 STRUCTURAL DESIGN

Our vision for Cassandras’ structure embodies the pinnacle of human
innovation. The settlement is built to maximize productivity while
maintaining structural integrity and serving as a safehouse for all human
activities in the vast expanse of space. The carefully selected design
choices, made using innovative technologies such as generative design,
ensure that Cassandras will be a paragon of efficiency, surpassing all its
predecessors, and will provide a safe and comfortable journey as it
cruises through space with enviable ease.

2.1 External Configuration

2.1.1. Cassandras will be a torus-shaped settlement
split into 6 major structural components, as
detailed below:
A cylindrical center which serves to support the
solar panels, store CASSSCs, house docks and
stores the Escape Pods.
3 Trien spheres that revolve around the center in a
discontinuous torus-like fashion. These are the
Residential Areas.
Trusses capable of withstanding extreme strain
that connect each of the Trien spheres with the
cylindrical center.
Ball bearings that surround the cylindrical center,
acting as interfaces for the trusses joining each of
the Trien spheres to the center.
5 docks for Humans CASSSCs and other smaller
ships.
A smaller microgravity inner ring that opens up a
world of possibilities – an array of activities for
residents and passengers onboard Cassandras.
2.1.1. Main Sections of the settlement

The settlement is divided into 3 Trien spheres with a radius (r1) of 132.32892 meters. The main radius (R) of our
settlement, from the center of rotation to the outer edges (r2) of the Trien spheres, is 924.80892 meters.

Each Trien sphere houses 17 floors of 15.24 meters each, all of which are highly spacious in order to avoid
invoking feelings of claustrophobia in our passengers. Our floors in all three Trien spheres result in a capacious
total living area of 1950963.84 square meters.
The Trien spheres rotate at a speed of 0.751 rpm, ensuring appropriate gravity without causing unwanted side-
effects in the form of motion sickness. The central cylinder main body would be non-rotating.
The central cylinder itself (that is excluding support structures for solar panels and fusion propellers) would
have a radius of 106.68 meters and a height of 609.6 meters. The total central cylindrical body has a radius of
106.68 meters and a height of 731.52 meters. The Inner Ring would have an inner radius (r1) of 53.34 meters
and an outer radius (r2) as 221.8944 meters (the flooring of the Inner Ring would be specified in 2.5).
The bearing is a cylindrical torus-shaped structure with the center placed in between with its thickness being
46.8977472 meters and height being 213.36 meters.
The volume of the central cylinder itself is 21795200 m3, and the total volume of the central cylinder (including
the support structures for the Fusion Thrusters and Solar panels) is 26154240 m3. Our trusses will be
cylinders of height 470 meters and radius 64.374 meters. The shape is made possible due to the extra
protection and stability provided by a 1 cm coating of equibiaxial stretched carbon nanotubes.

2.1.2.
There is a 15-degree gap between each of the three Trien spheres. Each individual Trien sphere is
90 degrees wide and has a 9.9-degree angled hemisphere at each end. There is a particular
theme for each Trien sphere:

Cassandras' center will be connected to each of

the Trien spheres by the trusses that will
contain all the CASSSCs transportation,
authorized personnel and electric power supply
wiring systems for the settlements. The
bearings will have passages through them that
will ensure the transfer of CASSSCs. The opening
and closing of the passages on requirement will
be made safe and secure by the subcontractor
Lossless Airlocks.

The central cylinder will be supporting 150000

2500-Watt solar panels on one end with an
efficient docking system for ships and cargo at
the same ends with the center of the cylinder
for storing the CASSSCs with another cylindrical
rod connecting it to the fusion propellers. 2.1.2 Top View Showing the three
Trien Spheres and their themes

Our design for the settlement is highly practical and useful. The torus structure used has been
proved to be the most efficient way to generate artificial gravity. By providing three Trien
spheres with varied themes, we are taking into consideration each individual’s preferences. A
unique feature of our settlement is the installation of solar panels using a connective rod from
the central cylinder, instead of having them outside the residential settlement itself which
blocks and restricts use of the windows. We have also ensured that most of our major materials
can be provided by the subcontractors. Additionally, the settlement is designed such that most
of the major necessary parts like solar panels, docking system for cargo and storage area for
CASSSCs are all combined, compacted into one part without making the settlement congested: it
will still give the passengers a free and open feel. Even the radii r2 and r1 (as given in the
diagram) are in an extremely efficient ratio - our r1 is neither too big, which would require more
force to rotate, not extremely small, which would make the passengers feel congested.

The Inner rings will have elevators similar to the Trien spheres for transportation between
floors. The structural interface between the non-rotating and the rotating sections would be
based on the ball bearing system with the ball bearing situated outside the center connected to
the Trien spheres and Inner Ring.

There will be a total of 3630 windows throughout the settlement with 1210 windows in each
Trien sphere. The windows will be 3.048 meters in height and 6.096 meters across, placed at
intervals of 9.144 meters.

2.1.3
The major construction materials for the Cassandras are carefully chosen for their
efficiency, practicality, and utility. They can sustain high pressures from both within and
without while also protecting Cassandras from small and medium-sized space debris.
The materials are:-
Titanium which provides the structural stability to the frame (3 centimeters thick)
Carbon Fiber Shell which creates a brittle frame around the structure, distributing force
evenly and preventing any bending of the frame (2.5 mm thick)

Polycarbonate for reinforcing windows (1.4 inches

thick). Our main and base structure for windows will
be supplied by the Subcontractor Bucky
Breakthroughs.
Epoxy to protect the solar panels (5 mm thick)
Carbon nanotubes (brought by Tubular Technologies)
to cover our trusses. Cassandras will have a 1 cm thick
layer of Equibiaxial Stretched carbon nanotubes on
the trusses. This will allow them to be normal
cylinders as specified in the dimensions before. They
will not be forced to assume a specific shape for
efficiency and safety.

2.1.3. Materials used in the construction of the Settlement.

Moreover, we have structured our solar panels to

form a triangle which is the strongest shape (with
respect to pressure) at the top and can thus sustain
a lot of pressure

We will be enlisting the help of 3D logistics to repair any

damaged part of Cassandras during the journey should the
need arise. If some deep structural damage occurs, there will
be an army of nanobots sourced from Nano Solutions to
repair the structure (see section 4.3). With the help of the
subcontractor Lossless Airlocks, we can ensure that people
can be transferred safely by means including the Dockage
System, The Escape Pod routes, etc. 2.1.3. Triangular Solar Panels - Strongest
Shape with respect to pressure. Can
Sustain a lot of Pressure.
CASSANDRAS
9
2.1.4
Being stationary, the central cylinder of the Cassandras will have no gravity.
There will be an Inner Ring to the bearing that will have a gravity of 0.155 g. This can be used for experiments,
work, recreational activities, etc.
Then the actual settlement will have an average gravity of 0.5 g in order to give people an Earth-like feel while
also providing a brand-new experience.
The gravity level will change with the floor. For instance, the topmost floor will have a gravity of 0.68 g.

There will be Fusion propellers at the bottom (connected to the center by a cylinder) to keep the settlement on
track during the journey. They will have force vectors along the x, y and z axes so as to have control over all the
three dimensions during the journey. The gravity is provided by the rotation of CASSSANDRAS (centrifugal force).

2.2.1
The residential, operational, business, and agricultural areas would be distributed equally across the three Trien
spheres. The main transportation will take place via hyperloop on the top floor and the delivery system will be on
the bottom floor. The CASSSCs storage would be done in the cylindrical center. The other storage of machinery
etc. would be done in any free space available in the top (transportation) and bottom (delivery) systems. The
escape pods would be situated at the side of each floor. Care would be taken to ensure that they do not block the
view from the window in any way.

The Trien spheres will have the same basic features like transportation, living, water and sewage system and
infrastructure (Specified in 3.2) . Each of them will have 17 floors of a height of 15.24 meters and a total surface
area of 650321.28 meter square each. Of these, all floors except the bottom floor will be accessible to
passengers.

The Trien spheres will be rotating with the help of small thrusters attached to the side. The Philodendron center
(see section 4.1.2), housing all the central computer systems, will be situated in the middle of the nature theme
Trien sphere.

2.3.1
Cassandras will be rotating continuously at 0.751 rpm throughout the journey providing
constant gravity.
The non-rotating central cylinder of the Cassandras will have no gravity. An Inner Ring to the
bearing will have an artificial gravity of 0.155 g which can be used to conduct experiments, work
or house recreational activities. The actual settlement will have a gravity of 0.5 g which is close
enough to Earth to be comfortable but novel enough to provide a fascinating new experience.
Our sequence of construction would be from the inner parts to the outside ones.

The main steps of Assembly would be:

1. First create the cylindrical center of the settlement having the space for fusion thrusters.
2. Add the 5 docking ports and the solar panels.
3. Construct and Connect the bearings with the cylindrical center.
4. Construct and Connect the Inner Ring to the bearings.
5. Construct the trusses. Now Fuse the Trusses that pass through the Inner Ring to the bearings.
6. Now fuse the connecting rod to the settlement.
7. Construct the Trien spheres housing the people, trees, houses etc. Now attach the Trien
spheres to the settlement.
8. Make sure that all the fusing that is done is not done only on the outer surface but is done
through the interior as well for better stability and more rigid joints.
9. Now cover the entire settlement with the shell (liquid state) while also making sure there is a
break in the shell on the bearing to make sure that the settlement would be rotating but not the
center.

1. Construction of Central 2. Addition of Docks 3. Addition of Bearings

4. Addition of 5. Construction and 6. Addition of Trien spheres

inner/microgravity ring. addition of trusses and protective shell, thus
completing construction.
CASSANDRAS
11
2.4.1
Cassandras will be storing a total of 12500 CASSSCs in the cylindrical center. There will be an entire mechanism
for the CASSSCs in the center to transport the CASSSCs to the Trien Spheres. The mechanism would identify the
required CASSSCS for transportation. The CASSSCS would be stored in vertical rows with spaces in between for
the CASSSC picking robot to pick up. The CASSSC picking robots are attached to a vertical elevator which will
take the CASSSC to the respective truss from where with precise timings, they will be put in the rotating
trusses’ CASSSC rails. This with the help of future technology would be done carefully while making sure that
the CASSSCS are unharmed. This CASSSC will safely carry the CASSSCs to the Trien Spheres.

Each of the CASSSCs (provided by Custom Cargo Accommodations) will have individual identifying codes stating
whether they contain:-
1. Water
2. Air
3. Food
4. Passenger’s Luggage specifying which Passenger
5. Others Specifying what it is carrying

Picture showing the inside of the

central cylinder and positioning of
CASSSCs

Our CASSSC picker Bots will be programmed to identify these IDs and transport the CASSSCs as required.
The CASSSCs would be stacked and connected to the bottom of the center. The bots (specified in automation)
will transport them to the trusses and from there they will be transported towards the Trien spheres
(explained in operations and automation). Note that the water, air, and soil CASSSCs can be transported in the
Trien sphere.

Cassandras will be having 5 Docking Systems for CASSSCs and other spaceships at the top of Cassandras. Each
of the docking systems would have an area of 44612.0398 meters square for the ships to dock providing a total
of
223060.2 meters square.
CASSANDRAS
12

2.5.1
We believe that doing everyday activities in lesser gravity is fun on its own. Thus, Cassandras has a small
Inner Ring with a gravity of 0.155 g. The Inner Ring would have a r1 of 53.34 meters and r2 of 221.894 meters.
The heights of the floors in this ring vary as per the function. It is accessible to passengers through elevators
in the trusses.
Possible recreational activities for passengers and families here include flying, eating, and drinking (as food
and water behave differently in low gravity), clicking pictures while wearing spacesuits, and playing some
games like soccer, basketball, etc.
Cassandras will be providing air at the 0.65 sea level in even this Inner Ring.
We are also going to provide an actual ride connected to the side of the Trien sphere in outer space.
Additionally, we are going to be having a ‘Neil Armstrong Experience’ in this ring. We will be creating a moon-
like environment including Nightsky, Moonglow, Craters, etc. The passengers will be provided with fake
spacesuits (the real spacesuits are used for other purposes) on the ‘moon’. They will be taken inside a rocket
simulation on the ‘moon’.
The microgravity ring will offer several mind-bending activities to guests and residents that allow them to
push the limits of gravity and experience flotation like astronauts. The ring will be pressurized too, offering
activities such as football, basketball, and hockey while residents are afloat.
The Activities are in the following locations in the inner rings:-

1. ‘Neil Armstrong Experience’ - Floor 1 (21.336 meters)

2. ‘Restaurant in microgravity (eating and drinking here)’ - Floor 2 (12.192 metres)

3. ‘Ball Games - Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Rugby’ - Floor 3 (12.192 metres)

4. ‘Other outdoor Games - Hockey, Paintball, etc.’ - Floor 4 (12.192 metres)

5. ‘Other Games and Activities- Tag, Flying, Freefalling, Rock Climbing, Gymnastics ’ - Floor 5 (13.716 metres)

6. ‘Passenger Circus (Conducted by Bots who will instruct the passengers who would be doing the
performance) - Floor 6 (18.288 metres)

7. ‘Quidditch’ - Passengers will be provided with brooms with mini thrusters to live the real Harry Potter
Quidditch Experience - Floor 7 (12.192 metres)

3.0 OPERATIONS AND

INFRASTRUCTURE
The operational choices made are conducive to a productive time onboard
w i t h o u t a n y g l i t c h e s o r s n a g s . T h e h i g h l y a d v a n c e d w a t e r, a i r a n d w a s t e
disposal and processing systems ensure minimal wastage and maximum
recycling onboard. The lightning fast hyper loop system transports people
from their houses to workspaces in a matter of seconds. The tremendous
CASSSC storage with its efficient delivery systems lead to safe storage and
accessibility during the 80 day journey onboard.

3.1
This section outlines the orbit which is required to be attained in order to construct the settlement. It explains how
material will be transported from mars to the site of construction. It shows the materials and sources of materials
and equipment required to build the settlement. It explains the thrusters and their workings.

3.1.1
We have selected to make the settlement in Low Mars Orbit (LMO) at about 500km from the surface of Mars. The
low mars orbit will enable easy and lower cost transportation of building material for construction of the
settlement. The final orbit planned for the settlement is Medium Mars Orbit (MMO). Due to the lower atmospheric
drag, the settlement will require less fuel to maintain medium mars orbit. As compared to High Mars orbit, it will
be easier to get materials to and from the settlement. Further MMO does not suffer from the Medium Earth Orbit
Van Allen belt radiation from Mars's magnetic field. After construction of the settlement in LMO, the orbit of the
settlement will be raised to MMO. For raising the orbit, the settlement will use an ion propulsion system. Ion
thruster or ion drive or ion propulsion, is a form of electrical propulsion and can be used for slowly raising the orbit
of the settlement from LMO to MMO.

3.1.2
Most of our materials are going to be mined from Mars . Mars can be mined for Magnesium, Aluminum, Titanium,
Iron, and via various mining centers. They will be refined in certain refineries on mars and then will be shuttled to
Mars .The close proximity of these stations from the settlement will reduce the transportation costs for the
materials. It will also save on some fuel. Most of our equipment for construction is going to be assembled from
scratch on mars and then taken to the orbital location of the settlement. This will allow the settlement to be
constructed speedily.

3.1.3
To ship materials in CASSSCs, we are going to cushion them in Expanded Polystyrene (EPS). EPS is very lightweight
with very low thermal conductivity, low moisture absorption and excellent cushioning properties. we are going to
coat the EPS in High-temperature reusable surface insulation(HRSI). The HRSI tiles are made of a low-density,
high-purity silica 99.8-percent amorphous fiber insulation that is made rigid by ceramic bonding. These materials
can be reused for different CASSSCs. The materials will be shipped in a reusable shuttle that will make trips to and
from the settlement. This shuttle will have the storage capacity of five CASSSCs at a time and there are going to be
400 of these shuttles

3.1.4
Cassandras will be having 3 main fusion propulsion engines. The first one would be the strongest which would be
propelling CASSSANDRAS forward (Sigma Thruster). The Sigma Thruster would have 7 mini thrusters. The second
one would be turning it about the x axis whereas the third one would turn it about the y axis (The Alpha Thrusters).
These two thrusters would have 4 mini thrusters in them.
All of our course corrections are going to be automated; however, we are going to have 3 of the top pilots who will
have access to the manual flight controls which can override the automated flight controls and course corrections.
The total thrust of all the thrusters would be 1,97,18,72,784 pounds. The Sigma Thruster would have a thrust of
1183123670.4 pounds. The Alpha Thrusters would have thrust of 394374556.8 pounds.
CASSANDRAS
14

3.1.4. Showing locations of thrusters and mini thrusters on them

3.2
Bots will be programmed to identify the type of CASSSC (water, air, food, luggage with owner’s name and others
with specified content) by their IDs and transport them as needed.
Every time that level of the essential commodities like air, water, food, etc. fall below a certain level in the
warehouses, a few CASSSCs will be transported from the center to the Warehouse. This process will continue so
as to have a certain minimum number of CASSSCs always present in the warehouses in case of emergencies.

3.2.1. Water
The water is first transported through the CASSSCs into the warehouses... For humans:- On every floor we have
a pipeline system for water and air through which this will be transported to different houses. 7408200 liters of
water stored in 581 CASSSCs. But at the beginning, we will be having 469 CASSSCs. Cassandras will be recycling
water every day with the help of water plants (provided by the Clean Up Your Act Subcontractor) in every Trien
sphere. The wastewater will be sent to plants after purification so that there is no risk of soil pollution. Once the
water level goes below 3704100 liters (or 290 CASSSCs) 75 CASSSCs of water will be brought in by
subcontractors Stuff of Life through the dockage system. Every day 8500 liters of water will be produced by the
subcontractor WasteProducts (acts like an OmniProcessor). For plants:- 400000 Liters for total plants. So a
total of 31 CASSSCs will be taken for plants. Water when entering homes for drinking purposes would be purified
by the home mechanisms itself. Therefore, in the beginning, there will be 500 CASSSCs of water.

3.2.2. Food
Passengers will require 300000kg of food every day (extra
accounted). Thus, for the entire journey, we require 2400000 kg
of food.
We are going to have only vegan and in some cases vegetarian
food growing aboard on Cassandras. Note that vegan meat and
other eatables will also be served. This is because it has been
scientifically proven that vegan food is the best for human
health and non-vegetarian food, including any type of meat,
can be harmful and increases the chances of heart attacks,
cancer, and other fatal diseases by 57%. Additionally, growing
livestock creates 90% more pollution than growing crops.
Besides, the animals themselves eat more grains than humans
making it an unfeasible venture. So we are going to store frozen
Non-Vegetarian Food in CASSSCs from the beginning of the
journey. Other non-perishable eatables will also be similarly
stored. Though vegan milk will not be available, we will be
providing cheese. 80% of vegetables will be stored in CASSSCs.
Leaves and roots such as spinach celery will be grown in
vertical gardens on buildings. These will be harvested using our
harvesting bots.
3.2.2. Harvesting Bot
CASSANDRAS
15

400 CASSSCs of fertile soil, hummus, and other necessary ingredients would also be present in the storage.
Soil Solutions will supply freshly loaded CASSSCs to Cassandras when the fertile soil level goes below 50
CASSSCs in storage. Soil Solutions would be providing all soil needs to Cassandras.
Number of CASSSCs required per main commodities: Grains – 555, Vegetables/Fruits – 750, Oil – 45, Sugar –
45, Spices – 15, Dairy (cheese, etc. with long shelf life) – 165, Nuts – 45, Non-Veg food – 2000, Others-900
CASSSCs and Non-Veg Food CASSSCs will be refilled when Cassandras reaches Mars or Earth. Plants
requiring a special climate will be planted on flat land in greenhouse-like structures that provide the
conditions required for their growth. Plants on vertical gardens will be watered through A.I. and will be
harvested manually through elevators by bots. Food will be transported by bots and TubeX throughout the
Trien spheres (more information in 3.4). The Food will be frozen as to make it last in space and will be kept in
freezing conditions in the CASSSCs.

3.2.3. Air Composition

Cassandras will have sensors (Air

Composition Sensors-ACS) placed at a
distance of 9.144 Meters from each other at
every floor to detect the amount of nitrogen,
oxygen, carbon dioxide, argon, and water
vapor. If the sensors detect a change in air
composition then necessary components of
air would be added as required. Changes in
pressure will also be detected. If pressure
increases, air will be sucked into CASSSCs
and deployed in our Warehouses (frequent
use storage). If pressure decreases, air will
be deployed into Cassandras until the
pressure becomes 0.65 Earth Sea Level. If
the pressure increases to an incredibly high
level (very unlikely), passengers will be
notified and brought to safety. The ACS will
have 6 pipes, 5 small pipes and one thick
pipe. The thick pipe would be for sucking air
and deploying air whereas the five small
pipes are for sucking and deploying
individual components into Cassandras. If air
level ever goes down (very rare), then we
will order air from the Sub Contractor Stuff Table Showing Air composition
of Life. The air would be purified
continuously with the help of BioUrban
Trees. One BioUrban tree is equivalent to 368
Huge Trees. Cassandras be having 100
BioUrban Trees spread evenly across the
Trien spheres. The Air would be compressed
in the CASSSCs to make sure that the
CASSSCs store the complete 15876 kg of
commodities they are meant to store. Note
that each component of air will be stored in
different CASSSCs.

ACS -Air Composition Sensor

CASSANDRAS

3.2.4 Waste Management:
Alongside the air pipeline and water pipeline, we will be transporting waste through floors. Firstly, the Waste
will be segregated into four parts:-
1. Unrecyclable, Electronic, and Other Waste
2. Human Excreta Waste
3. Food and other Organic Waste
4. Recyclable Waste
This segregation would be done by three bins (for non-recyclable waste, recyclable waste, and food waste)
which would have sensors such that they would only take the necessary type of waste and would not let the
other waste come in (Note that Human Excreta would have been directly transferred from the toilet through
pipeline system). Each type of waste will have its own sub pipeline system. The Human Excreta will go into an
Omniprocessor by the subcontractor Waste Products which will convert it into the water and fertile soil. The
Food and Organic Waste will be given to the soil in agriculture and crops which will further fertilize the soil
with help of earthworms and other decomposers. The recyclable waste like plastics will get recycled and
reused within the settlement. The unrecyclable and other waste will be safely expelled into space through the
center. The toilet paper will be provided by Bottom Cleaners.

3.2.5 Electricity
Our entire electric consumption will be fulfilled by 150000 2500 WATT solar panels that will always be
facing the sun with the help of rotatory motors etc. The Trien spheres themselves will be using an average
of 135000 KW for the entire journey at the rate of 1437.5 KW per day. The energy collected by the solar
panels will be stored in the center in the form of electric energy. Should this energy become too much or
the center become unable to store it, the excess energy will be radiated as heat into the solar system. Some
heat could also be used in the Trien spheres to keep them warm (they will be having their own mechanism
for heating). (diagram of electric distribution) For the wiring throughout the settlement, we will be using
ZAP! Industries. For more protection of our wires and circuits outside the Trien spheres, we will be enlisting
the Subcontractor ElectroProtect.

3.2.6 Day/Night Cycle:-

We will be following the 24 Hour Day cycle of the Earth. The settlement will be covered with electrochromic
glass. The glass will be connected to an electric power source. When the electrochromic glass will be
supplied with the appropriate current, the color of the glass changes. The electric current to be supplied
would be adjusted to recreate the sky during the color of the day and night time according to Prime
Meridian Time. The electric current to be supplied may be coded into the system, to decrease manual work,
and to create an immersive faultless experience. During the night sky, no electricity should be passed to
create the glass back, as the darkness of space with the celestial bodies will do the trick which will save
electrical power that may be used as backup power, in case of certain circumstances. It will also help the
customers to greatly appreciate the beauty of space even if only for 90 seconds. Additionally, the windows
will be closed and the lighting system will mimic the moonlight. VR Technology on the roofs of the floors,
will be used to give the impression that all the light is coming from one source: the moon (with the phases
of the moon there).
CASSANDRAS
17
Our entire day and night cycle will be also facilitated by Lighting System available 60 years later which
would dim and become bright as the time passes similar to the Earth Environment. It would change color
from orange to yellow to ochre to orange again similar to earth.
he trusses surrounded by the wiring and other cable systems (more information on this is given in the
Structure Part).
3.2.7 Transportation:-
The main mode of Transportation throughout the Trien spheres will be Hyperloops. In each of the Trien
spheres there will be three main hyperloops branching out into several other trientspheres going to different
destinations. There will also be nine elevators in each Trien sphere, all accommodating 20 people
(dimensions: 2.5908 meters by 2.5908 meters by 4.2672 metres height) to transport people from floor to
floor. Every passenger will also be provided with a Segway for traveling shorter distances where use of the
hyperloops is not required. For older passengers will receive cushioned wheelchairs that will be able to
accommodate the individual’s needs including adjustment of size and speed. The speed will be controlled by
a remote in the handle of the chair. A person wanting to travel to another trien sphere would go to the outer
ring with the help of the CASSSCs hyperloop system (refer 3.4) and then with the help of vehicles on the inner
surface, go to the required truss and again with the help of hyperloop system go to the desired Trien sphere.
Transportation to the center for humans, authorized personnel, and bots will be done by four elevators
(dimensions: 4 meters by 4 meters by 2.25 meters) going through the trusses surrounded by the wiring and
other cable systems (more information on this is given in the Structure Part). For transportation of small or
large goods, there is an entire delivery and transport service at the bottom floor where passengers can put
all good they want to carry with themselves. Then, go at the destination to find the goods there waiting for
them.

Hyperloop Tube and Pod

3.2.8 Communications
INTERNAL COMMUNICATION:
Using Neuralink, people will be able to communicate with ease, without actually speaking or moving. Neuralink
is a device which is capable of connecting the thoughts of our brains with machines. Neuralink chips will be
implanted in the brain of everyone aboard, providing seamless and comfortable communication. The citizens
will be able to communicate with multiple people at once, using just brainpower. The Neuralink chip will be able
to identify the address of another person’s Neuralink chip nearby or even far away by thinking about their voice,
physical features, or even smell, and messages can be sent to that passenger. The Neuralink message will be
registered in his/her mind and even on a holographic chip provided to every citizen, so they can view the
message for future reference. It is a very safe way of communication as it cannot hack into any communication
pathways coming from a different Neuralink chip. It cannot hack into a third party as well. It has endless
possibilities of communication for personal use restricted only to the people using it. This chip has enough
power to communicate between groups and even between the members of a house if they wish to. This means
of communication will connect everyone on board, so by the time they reach the designated region, they would
be able to feel like a united family. It will save on a lot of electricity as phones, telephones, and other mediums
will be out of use. The disabled people who have trouble speaking will be able to communicate effortlessly. This
will help in long-distance communication across Cassandras. A person not wanting or uncomfortable to use
neuralinks can always commune normally using his mouth and communicating phones and advanced watches
given to the passengers can also help them communicate.
CASSANDRAS
18
EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION:
Lasers carry light pulses that can transmit a wide array of information across very long distances using
reflective surfaces without degradation in quality. While making its first transit, Cassandras will create
imaginary orbits with a fixed distance. 2 satellites will be placed in each orbit. The satellites will have reflective
durable surfaces to bounce off the light signal. One of the satellites will travel at a higher velocity than the
other until it is exactly opposite the other satellite and then will travel at the same speed (as the first one).
Hence, 2 satellites on each orbit placed exactly opposite each other will help us to ensure that one satellite is
always in range to receive and reflect the signal. When the satellite receiving the signal may break the signal
streak as it went out of range, the connection will be broken for a maximum of 1.2 (estimate) hours under any
circumstances. This will help us to transmit endless data from Earth to Settlement to Mars or vice versa. If
relatives wish to speak from Mars or Earth to Cassandras, they can send E-Mails to them with the receiver’s
addresses and the receiver will receive the message in form of holographic mail or on the device itself (phone-
calling will not be feasible as every message takes more than 60 seconds to travel).
Adding to this, communication will also be facilitated and aided by the Subcontractor OrbitLink Communications.

Communication Satellites

3.3.1

The jigs will have three electrical thrusters placed on them to adjust their course to hold components in place
while in orbit. The thrusters will adjust their angle using gimbals and their maneuvers will be calculated to the
shortest path which is required for the jigs to travel in order to reach a certain point in orbit. They will have solar
panels mounted on them to convert the sun's light energy into electrical energy which can be used by the jigs
electrical thrusters. The jigs will be able to hold all components and materials used in building the settlement
together for as long as required. In order to hold components, the jigs will have a slot for the smaller
components which can fit inside it. A tightening screw will secure the component until required after which it
will loosen and the jig will slide away from the component. This slot will allow the smaller components to be
held firmly in place for as long as required. For the larger components which cannot be held by the slot in the
jigs, four latches on top of the jig will lock on to the component via an inbuilt slits in it. All components larger
than the jigs slot will have these slits for jigs to lock on to them.

3.3.2 Inspection of jigs and machinery

Certain 360 degree cameras will fly in orbit with the settlement during its construction. These cameras will be
remotely controlled and will be used for the inspection of machinery and jigs. The small size of the cameras will
help them maneuver easily and reach unreachable spots. They will use electrical thrusters and will have solar
panels mounted on them to capture the sun's light energy and convert it into electrical energy for propulsion.
These cameras will also have a protective bubble made of a wire frame with a transparent acrylic slyt in the
middle to protect from collisions.

3.3.3.
Shipping of construction machinery, jigs and tools to the orbital location of the settlement
All of the construction machinery, jigs and tools will be shipped in a shuttle from Mars. Their compact and
foldable designs will help in optimal space usage. The shuttles will be reusable and will have a storage
capacity of 1000 meters cube. All of our bots will be able to fit into the shuttle and will be taken to the
orbital location of the settlement by it. The shuttle will also have a passenger bay located at the front and
will also transport raw materials from mars to the orbital location of the settlement.

3.4.1
Cassandras will be a marvel of engineering. We plan on using state of the art technology which will not
only grant efficiency but also a high output of work. Our cargo delivery system will be extremely efficient
and will guarantee delivery of commodities on time.
Cargo is a very important component of our settlement. We plan on delivering cargo in a quick, smooth and
efficient manner. Cargo is stored in the CASSSCS which are located in the central cylinder of the settlement
as well as in the pressurized warehouses on the bottom floor of each Trien sphere. There will be 4
pressurized warehouses in each Trien sphere, with a total of 12 pressurized warehouse throughout the
settlement. Each warehouse will be taking up 6325 cubic meters of space with a storage capacity of 209
CASSSCS and will be used for storing and unpacking CASSSCS. Cassandras will be having a total of one
hundred thousand CAASCS. All the CASSSCS will be initially stored in the central cylinder. CASSSCS in the
central cylinder will be arranged in vertical rows. The CASSSCS will all have unique codes. The codes will be
organized based on the commodities it contains. Throughout the transit there will be the opening and
removal of materials from the CASSSCS. However, certain CASSSCS such as belongings of passengers who
wish to permanently settle on either planet will be inaccessible till the end of the transit. Such CASSSCS
will be kept at the bottom of the rows in the central cylinder. Whereas CASSSCS which will be utilized
quickly will be kept towards the top.

3.5
The Tour and Tour Routes provided to the Passengers
We will be having humanoid robots of a height of 1.3716 meters guides for all of our tours who will answer
any questions regarding the tour and provide the guest with all information required about Cassandras. All
tours will include an entire animated VR Holographic Presentation regarding the tour. For any tours outside
of the Trien Spheres and the Inner Ring, space suits will be provided to the passengers of the necessary
size. These spacesuits will be provided by the subcontractor Extreme Survival Technologies (EST). Note
that communication will yet be possible.
3.5.1
Our Trusses And Center Tour
Our tours will include a tour to the center of the settlement in the cylindrical center. This tour will be
showing the CASSSCs Storage and Facilities and the Dockage system. Vehicles attached to the cylindrical
center (inner side) would facilitate this. A strong glass cover covered with Epoxy (1 inch) around the path of
the vehicle would ensure safety. Transportation from the Trien spheres to this is will be done by the
Trusses’ Elevators (size 4 meters by 4 meters by 2.5 meters). This will also show all our wires, cables, and
other systems in the trusses.
3.5.2
Our Hyperloop and Outside Space Travel Tour
Our second tour would be done around the Trien sphere itself. A batch of 20 passengers would be seated in
a vehicle that would be going around the Trien sphere (refer to diagram). The vehicle would be situated
outside the Trien sphere on the outer surface on the smaller circumference of the Trien sphere. It would be
placed this way as this would increase protection from incoming asteroids and space debris while also
providing a detailed view of the settlement and space itself. The Vehicle would have the same
protectionary shell as the settlement which includes Carbon Fiber (2.5 mm) and Titanium (3 cm). The
vehicle would be signaled at any sign of damage or expected damage, like incoming space debris, to it
during the tour (which is very unlikely) and directly brought inside the settlement by rotating the path. Note
that it is not the vehicle that is moving but the path that is. The vehicle would only be fused to the path. The
speed of the path and other attributes are under the control of the bot which is programmed to keep it as
safe as possible for the passengers. After the space tour, when the passengers come in, they are presented
to our main transportation system – the hyperloops. When they are safely placed on the ground of this
first floor, they will be taken in another pod and shown around the hyperloops.
3.5.3
Tour of the Headquarters and the Bottom Warehouse And Delivery System
Our Third Tour will include a detailed tour of the bottom floor (the delivery system) and the Headquarters
of the Trien sphere, explaining the different aspects of it. First, by elevators, a group will be taken to the
bottom floor. Here, they will be shown the major pipeline systems, the warehouses, the waste, sewage
systems, and purification plants (provided by Waste Products) and the bots monitoring this. They would be
taken inside the water plants (Provided by Clean Up Your Act Subcontractor) and shown the different
processes that occur simultaneously. Then they would be shown an upper view of the floor from a height
through drones showing holographic videos. After this, they would be shown the delivery system and
routes while showing what happens to the CASSSCs in the warehouses.

4.0 HUMAN FACTORS AND

SAFETY
“The true ideal city is not the city of an imaginary future, but of a future that could
r e a l l y h a p p e n ”- V i r g i l i o V e r c e l l o n i
Recognizing that everyone prefers different ambiences, we have split the
residential areas into 3 distinct volumes. Each volume will have a specific theme
and ambience attached to it, and guests and residences will be able to choose
which theme they want to live in. One of the three volumes will be dedicated to
nature, another to change and the last to technology, allowing people with varying
personalities to choose where they would be most comfortable.
The nature theme will have extensive flora and fauna coupled with a serene
environment, the tech theme will have a futuristic ambience while the change
theme will have a fast-paced, young mood. The community layout lays extreme
emphasis on the residents and on maximizing their utility and productivity through
the use of strategically placed facilities and services.

4.1.1
Catering to a variety of whims and fancies, Cassandras will have distinct community layouts for each of the three
sections of the residential volumes.
The nature theme will incorporate clusters of facilities and residential areas spread out around a park, analogous
to the way nature plays a central role in the lives of the residents of that volume. A meandering river, named the
Xylem river, flows through the floor, further allowing residents to connect with nature.
The change theme, aimed at singles and young adults, is split into sections that resemble cities of the world. The
sections, named Miami Beach, Rio de Janeiro Carnival, Venice Canal, and New York Wall Street, will have features
mirroring those cities. The Miami section will have art deco buildings and palm trees, the Rio de Janeiro section will
have street life and parties, the Venetian theme will consist of canals, and the New York section will have an array
of modern glass buildings and rotating towers. This further variation allows Cassandras to cater to the individual
preferences of its residents.
The technology theme will be futuristic and will allow people to interact with extremely promising technology
such as Artificial Intelligence, Holograms, and VR. The buildings will all be clustered around a central ‘silicon hub’
which will house business and coworking spaces enabled with the latest technology.
The ceilings of each of the themes will emulate skies during the days and a star-filled cosmos at night to enthrall
passengers and residents and make the available space seem bigger.
4.1.2
Cassandras, redefining the workspace, will be appointed with magnificent offices that are conducive to
productivity like nothing before. The offices, enabled with state-of-the-art technologies, will be further elaborated
in section 4.5.2.
There will be ample government spaces on Cassandras, the pinnacle of which will be the headquarters at the
heart of the nature theme. Nestled among pristine greenery and situated on an island, with bountiful rivers
flowing around them, the ‘Philodendron center’ will be an engineering marvel. Branches of the Philodendron
center will be situated in each of the other 2 volumes, allowing residents access to government facilities no
matter which volume they live in.
Albert Einstein once said, “Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” Likewise,
Cassandras will have an abundance of parks and recreation spaces, more so in the nature theme. Parks will be
spread out throughout the section to be easily accessible to people living in differing residential areas too. The
hallmark of all parks, however, will be in the center of the nature theme with the foundation society headquarters
in the middle. The park will be completed on an island, surrounded by a sheet of waterfall separating it from the
rest of the settlement. In the middle of it, atop a small hill, the gleaming glass Philodendron Center will lie. To
access the park, however, there will be gaps in the sheet of the waterfall to ensure that the patrons do not get
wet. Moreover, there will be a great variety of splendor in all parks with unique installations and playgrounds with
a variety of plants and creepers.
CASSANDRAS
22
4.1.3
Cassandras will host an array of multi-
cuisine dining options, allowing residents
and passengers to embark on a multi-
cultural culinary tour during their 80 days
onboard. Spread out throughout the 3
volumes, the dining options will be
strategically placed to ensure diners a
peaceful meal. A particularly magnificent
restaurant will be the Café Canal, a
congregation of dinner boats on the Venice
canals in the change theme volume. Café
Canal will be multipurpose, serving casual
lunch and breakfast and a formal dinner
under the Venetian starry sky. The multitude
of options will range from simple family
restaurants to exquisite, elegant world-
renowned fine dining establishments. Philodendron Center

There will be a multitude of activities that passengers and residents can engage in onboard to make their
80-day journey less of a journey and more of an experience. For example, the nature theme will push the
boundaries of sensation by making it possible for residents and guests to interact and view a variety of
plants and vegetation species. The change theme will host unique activities such as boating in the canals
of ‘Venice’, going to a Broadway musical in ‘New York’, or even having a beach day at ‘Miami’. The
technology-oriented volume will offer previews into what life will be like in 2100 using enhanced
augmented reality in conjunction with virtual reality. Other than that, across all themes, some basic
activities such as sports (basketball, football, swimming, table tennis, etc), spas and salons and adventure
sports where possible. Each theme will have clubhouses spread out that will host a variety of games and
facilities such as gyms, saunas, social rooms, video game clubs, and sporting facilities.

Prevention is better than cure. This is a

philosophy that will be evident throughout
Cassandras. To keep passengers and residents
safe from disease, everybody onboard
Cassandras will be provided with a Kartankristo
(detailed in automation) that will remotely
monitor vital statistics such as blood oxygen
levels, heart rate, and blood pressure to ensure
that in the case of a medical emergency they can
receive help immediately. Moreover, the
Kartankristo will be enabled with fall detection,
calorie counting, sleep tracking, and stress
monitoring to encourage and enable people to
live more balanced and healthier lives. In the
interest of passengers and resident’s safety,
there will be three state-of-the-art hospitals in
each of the 3 main sections that will cater to
almost all surgeries and ailments that hospitals
on Earth can. The interaction in the hospital will
be purely high tech and remotely controlled by
The Kartankristo
professionals from Earth to ensure that residents
and passengers on Cassandras get the best
possible healthcare in space.

ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN: Passengers will have access to the same luxurious and opulent residences
irrespective of the thematic tori they avail. The fundamental architectural designs of the buildings rely
on mesh-like integrated support of run-through floors. A glass substitute, Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene,
is utilized as an accessorisable alternative to opaque walls, which lends a unique pliability giving rise to
curved facades. Protection from solar radiation and flares can be accounted for by tinted nano-cellulose
shades sensitive to changes in the external environment. Moreover ETF creates an acoustic barrier,
perfect for musical resonance as well as soundproofing.

4.3.1
In case of a breach in the settlement, there 50 emergency buildings placed strategically throughout the
settlement, located in coworking spaces, dense residential zones, the Philodendron center and facilities. These
buildings each have a fresh air supply in case of air contamination and they have fresh supplies of food and
water that can sustain 400 people for a month.
Using state-of-the-art technology, these emergency buildings also house unique lifeboat capsules that can be
inflated. There will be 80 of these capsules, each having a maximum capacity for around 150 people. The
passengers would go the center where the escape pods are stored. Near certain airlocks, there will be
emergency zones where passengers and residents will congregate in case of an emergency. The residents and
passengers will be oriented on this at the beginning of the 80-day journey and the Kartankristo (view Section
5.3.1) will detail which emergency zone they are supposed to report to. At the emergency zones, passengers
and residents enter their assigned lifecraft, which has been automatically inflated by the time they arrive. The
life crafts then safely depart via the airlocks. Each lifecraft is equipped with a month’s supply of food and
water for 150 people, and a month’s air supply for 200 people. The life crafts are made of 30mm Titanium and
coated with 3mm Carbon Fiber to ensure structural integrity. The capsules will house basic entertainment
facilities and sophisticated communications equipment. The capsules, much like the main settlement, will be
managed by AI.

Airlocks

In case of an emergency, certain human emergency personnel along with emergency and fire bots will go to
inspect. The humans will wear a pressurized space suit with multiple protective layers and a highly
advanced maneuvering system that will allow emergency personnel to engage in multidirectional
movement. The spacesuit will be anchored to the settlement at all times using toughened carbon fiber ropes
and will use shape memory alloy coils to become more compact and reduce their bulk. The spacesuit will
essentially create a form around the user when it is heated and maintain this form until it is cooled. The
spacesuit is composed of many different layers for safety features. They include a layer of Kevlar for general
protection, a ripstop layer to prevent tears, and a glass fiber layer for sturdiness. Spacesuits will be 3d
printed upon boarding on the settlement by sophisticated equipment that does body scans and
manufactures spacesuits to the exact specification. The spacesuits will also have a Kartankristo etched into
its skin, with advanced communications and life support systems.
In case of damage to the outer structure of the settlement, an army of nanobots, sourced from Nano
Solutions, will be available to repair the damage. Moreover, there will be airtight doors that will be located
around the settlement, allowing isolation of problem areas. For example, in the unlikely scenario that cabin
depressurization begins in one area of the settlement due to some structural damage, the airtight doors
around that section will close in automatically, preventing the air of the rest of the settlement from getting
damaged. Then, the aforementioned army of nanobots will rush to repair the structural damage, while
breathing masks appear from the airtight doors to provide a supply of air to people trapped inside. These
airtight doors will contain a lot of useful equipment such as oxygen masks, fire extinguishers and spacesuits
to help the residents and passengers trapped inside the affected area.
CASSANDRAS
30

Drawing inspiration from our planet Earth, we will induce a slight magnetic field around Cassandras to deter
any Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) from the solar flares. To protect the settlement against radiation,
Cassandras will feature Electrostatic shielding. This approach creates an electric field around the settlement
with the negative potential facing outwards to slow down negatively charged radiation.

4.4
Cassandras will be both a living center as well as a transportation system for guests who wish to travel to
Mars from Earth and back.
4.4.1
As said earlier in 3.4, cargo and luggage of passengers who wish to settle on Mars will be inaccessible during
transit and will be stored in the bottom of the rows. Items which will be used during transit will be stored
towards the top of the rows in the cylinder.
4.4.2
There will be a total of 12,500 CASSSCS on board with 4570 for food, 500 for water and 78 for air. The rest will
be used for items of trade, luggage and other commodities. The CASSSCS will be stored at the central cylinder
and will be connected to the Trien Spheres through the trusses. A magnetic rail will be used to carry the
CASSSCS through the trusses to the Trien spheres. The CASSSCS are then sent to the bottom floor from where
it is taken to the warehouses. The pressurized warehouses will consist of a team of human workers and
extraction robots which will be used to extract the items from the CASSSCS, thus maximizing efficiency and
minimizing chances of error caused by either human or machine.
4.4.3
The CASSSCS will have the same storage capacities. However, cargo will not be directly put inside the
CASSSCS. There will be 3 sizes of cargo compartments (also called sub - containers) namely:
1. Extra Large (EL)
2. Large (L)
3. Medium (M)
4. Small (S)
The EL will be used for storing large furniture items such as beds and dining tables, the L will be used for
storing slightly smaller furniture items sofas and smaller tables, M for items such as vases, water purifiers,
etc. and S for items such as glassware, dining items, money, jewelry. All these will be padded and securely
stored and locked. The least required items will be stored at the bottom and the most required items will be
stored at the top.

4.5.1 Office Spaces

Cassandras will feature various state-of-the-art coworking spaces available for rent around the 3 sections of the
torus - Caudex Business Park, New York Wall Street, and the Silicon Hub. Each of these 3 coworking spaces will be
optimized for a particular type of job/industry - the Caudex Business Park will focus upon more traditional forms of
office jobs, the New York Wall Street commercial complex will be oriented towards jobs in the finance industry and
the Silicon Hub will be best suited for the tech industry. The Caudex business park, located at the uppermost sieve
of the natural volume, will have undisturbed serenity. The isolation from most entertainment venues and other
potential loud noise sources will enable passengers and residents to work in silence among nature. The Wall Street
commercial zone will be on the middle floor of the change theme, providing one-stop access to all facilities that one
may require during the course of the day. The silicon hub too will occupy the upper floor, providing seclusion from
the hustle-bustle of daily life. The various amenities inside these commercial parks will enable all residents and
passengers alike on Cassandras to have a productive journey. Each of these parks will be equipped with automated
AI-enabled climate control, separate offices, meeting spaces, and conference rooms for rent, top of the line voice
input virtual assistant using AI and Machine Learning that can fetch precise data in seconds or change the ambience
of your office, stationery such as pens, paper and files, and a unique ‘innovation lab’ that will house various tools
that a person may need during their time in space such as printers (both 3D and regular). The ultrafast data transfer
speeds, using technologies such as Li-Fi, will mean that the Strategically placed cafes around the business parks
will enable quicker lunches and snack breaks, conducive to a productive and healthy workday. There will be a
variety of indoor plants spread out in individual offices, conference rooms, and even the corridors, as psychology
studies have shown that having living things in your workspace can make you more productive and brighten your
mood. These innovations in coworking spaces will enable travelers to start businesses onboard or continue
business during their 80-day journey.

5.0 AUTOMATION
Cassandras will deploy state of the art robots and AI systems that require
minimal active human intervention, keeping resident tasks to a minimum. The
smart AI system, the various safety bots, and the hundreds of lifestyle bots
further augment resident and passenger experience while onboard Cassandras.

5.1.1 – Construction bots

Materials:
The bots used to construct our settlement need to be strong and should be able to withstand space debris and
solar flares. This is why we are using Reinforced carbon tiles to make up most of our bots. This helps our
construction bots withstand solar flares. And to protect our robots from small space debris, they have been
given a coating of Kevlar.
- There will be three types of robots that will be used to build our settlement.
a. The first is a flower bot.
This robot has a circular section,70 metres in diameter with 6 spokes extending from the sides of it. At the end
of each of these spokes is another circular surface, 50 metres in diameter. Each of these 7 circular surfaces have
10 robotic arms that will be used to construct the settlement. The spokes connecting all the circular sections
use the mechanism used in the rod of an umbrella. Each rod can extend up to 200 metres and its length when
shortest will be 50 metres. The advantage of this is that when one arm is constructing one part of the
settlement, the other arms can extend and construct the other parts within 200 metres. When the docking and
storage cylinder and the inner torus is being built, the seven circles will split apart and construct it. And when
the Habitable torus is being constructed, the circles join together to build it. The flower bot will be used to
construct the inner torus, the three habitable sections and the interior buildings. For the interior, the bot will
again split into its 7 circles.

b. The Second bot is the Extending Torus

Builder bot:
This bot is made up of three rectangular
sections connected to each other through
connecting rods that use the mechanism
in the rod of an umbrella. The whole bot is
curved so that it can build the curved
surface of the habitable sections. Each
rectangular section has dimensions of 100
by 80 metres. These rectangular sections
each consist of 30 robotic arms that will
be used to construct the settlement. The
rods that connect these three sections are
30 metres in length when shortest and
can extend up to 120 metres. This Torus Builder with arms contracted
minimises the time of work as when one
section while be constructing a part of the
torus the others can extend up to 120
metres and work on another part. When
the inner torus is being built, the three
sections will split apart and individually
construct it. And when the Habitable torus
is being constructed, the sections join
together into a curved structure to build
the torus.

c. The third robot is the detailing bot:

The detailing bot is small in small in size. It
extends up to 5 meters in length. This bot is a
cylinder with six robotic arms, three on each side.
This type of bot will work on all the parts of the
settlement. Due to its small size, it can construct
areas that the others can’t and is hence used for
detailing the exterior of the settlement.
It will be holding 3D printing material in a
compartment stowed at the back of the cylinder
and will be using the nozzles at the ends of the
arms to give detailing and construct the
settlement. Since these bots can be used for a
variety of tasks and are small in size, they will be
used to construct both the exterior and interior of
the settlement and will also be used to repair
things during transit if necessary.

5.1.2 – Building Sequence

- The construction of Cassandras begins with the building of the docking and storage cylinder. The flower bots
and the detailing bots will work on this part. For this the flower bots split into seven different circles. After this
is done, the detailing bots start the constructions of the ball bearings that help the habitable torus to spin. Then
the detailing bots start constructing the three spokes that connect the habitable torus to the central cylinder.
Simultaneously, the flower bots as well as the extending torus builder bots construct the inner torus. For this,
the torus builder bots splits into three sections and works on the construction. After the spokes and the inner
torus are done, the flower and the torus builder bots reassemble to their original stage and start building the
habitable torus. They are also assisted by the detailing bots for this.
5.1.3 – Transportation of Materials
- Most of Cassandras will be made using 3D Printing. There will be a 12 warehouse like structures storing all the
different materials. Each material will be monitored through tracking systems. Each construction bot is
assigned a material(s). When the bots run out of their material(s). They get it refilled at the warehouse through
the tracking system. The construction robots use their robotic arms to do 3D printing. Each robot has a specific
time for the refill and all the times are scheduled so that there is a smooth flow of things. The settlement is
huge and hence the warehouses will refill 4 times. Once the material dips below 15% an order is placed for new
materials from Mars.
5.1.4 – Interior Design:
The interiors are the most important part of the settlement and needs to be done quickly. In the Nature themed
torus, we will be using 3D printing bots to construct the uneven terrain. These bots will be like the flower and
detailing bots used for the exterior. The modern and experimental theme require mostly a flat terrain and do not
require these bot. For the construction of the buildings. We will be using the detailing bots, our flower bots and
our building bots. Our building bots consist of a central cube with a side of 5 meters. This will have 4 retractable
robotic arms 20 metres in length that will be able to extend up to a hundred metres. These bots will have 4 pairs
of tiny robotic arms to climb the buildings as they build.

5.2- Maintaining Settlement Integrity:

The Cassandras is home to 8800 people. And to maintain peace, integrity and to prevent calamity, we have
many advanced automation systems to do this.

5.2.1 - Fire detection system:

In case of a fire, our emergency bots are given the coordinates
and are sent to the location of the fire. The robots have two
retractable arms which spray oxygen suffocator and self-
hardening foam. These bots are coated with a hydrogen rich
coating (like polyethylene) over a R.A. guard material to
withstand the heat created by the fire. They are shaped like an
ovoid and have smooth and reflective surfaces to reflect away
any harmful rays that could damage the electronic
components. The humidity level is increased in the fire zone to
dial down the fire and the robots spray oxygen suffocator over
the fire to stop it. In the rare case of a hull breach, the robots
attach nets coated with E.R. fluids (Electro-rheological fluids)
over the breached area and pass an electric current through it.
This closes the breach and any remaining gaps are sealed off
with a self-hardening foam. After this, the robots immediately
begin to replace the tiles on the breached area. They can
withstand the heat generated by solar flares as they grounded
and transfer all the excess heat to the bulky hull of the
settlement. These robots also evacuate all residents into the
community buildings. In case of an air contamination a new
atmosphere is added and the old one is discarded; all persons
are evacuated into the community buildings and any infected
persons are treated. Fire Diffusion Bot
CASSANDRAS

5.2.2 - Access to critical information:
To access various databases inside the settlement, there are various identity tests that must be undertaken. For
the first level of security, thumbprint and DNA scanners are used (a small hair clipping suffices) to grant entry
level information. For the second level of security, retinal scanners and Heart rate monitors are used to grant
information such as floor plans and housing designs. For the third level of security, Facial vein mapping is used
(facial vein locations are different for different persons) to grant access to override systems and manual flight
controls. All of these tests are noninvasive and very efficient. In the unlikely event that a person tries to break
into our systems, the C.O.P bots are sent to fend of the person. These bots have a titanium frame for strength
and shoot tranquilizer darts at the person to neutralize him/her. They can absorb bullet damage and even high
energy blasts. they are bulky and have various combat strategies programed into them. These systems ensure
that our confidential data is accessible by only authorized personal.
5.2.3 - Maintenance of the settlement:
To maintain the public pathways and areas, we have various cleaner bots that perform functions such as
mopping and sweeping. They use rotating mop-heads to scrub the floors and a drag along broom system to
remove any litter and dirt. To dry the system, they use high power blow driers. all the water used mixes with the
water vapor used by the humidifier and thus is reused. All of these robots are automated and have obstacle
detection software on them. They are mapped to clean the settlement in the most efficient way possible. They
run on a schedule and they mostly work during the night simulations. To maintain various private areas,
housekeeping bots are used. These bots have four arms and perform functions such as making beds, processing
laundry, cleaning cussions and removing litter and dirt from private areas. They can be called to a certain area at
any time. Cassandras will also be using bots from the subcontractor Bots4u for doing household and work.
These will also be used to maintain cleanliness in the workplace and offices.
5.2.5 – Human Collaboration with robots:
Most of the functions listed above are completely automated. However, certain authorized personnel have
access to manual override switches in case of emergency. Humans will also sometimes be required for the
repair of robots and law and order scenarios.

5.3
Cassandra's premium experience lies in its high-quality automation for one and all. Smallest of details being
perfected is what creates a masterpiece. We aim for minimum manual labour and maximum productivity.
CASSANDRAS
35
5.3.1 - Automation for enhanced livability:
Every person who will be entering the Cassandra will have a rectangular chip attached to their clothes. This
chip is called Kartankristo, derived from the Greek word ‘κάρτα άγκιστρο’ meaning ‘Card Hook’. These cards will
hook themselves on all the user’s clothes and cannot be removed at any time on board. Kartankristo is a multi-
functional chip which can be communicated with by voice, writing and thought. This chip has all the User’s
data, which includes Name, Date of Birth, Room Number, Bank balance, and Emergency Contacts. To enter any
part of the settlement, the User’s Kartankristo will be scanned by sensors at every entrance. These sensors
will use Microwave Transmission to scan the tag. If the User is authorized to enter the area, the door will be
opened. Kartankristo can also be used for payments.
5.3.2 Automation in healthcare services:
The thing we care about the most is the health of the passengers. Kartankristo assure us for the safety of the
passengers. Kartankristo will also monitor the user’s body 24/7. Heart rate, oxygen levels, blood sugar and all
other functions will be monitored. If any medical problem arises, the user will be informed through his/her
Kartankristo. The user can order required medication through Kartankristo itself. Robodoc, an extremely well
programmed bot can do check-ups and surgeries if required. If only medicines are needed, the TubeX can send
the medicines in a locked box which’s passcode will be only available when the user scans his Kartankristo in it.
5.3.3 Automation in delivery:
The parcels that are supposed to be delivered throughout the settlement will be first be taken to the closest
elevator by a Welltron. All the elevators will be interconnected by TubeXs underground. These TubeXs will take
the parcels to the closest elevator to where the parcel must be sent. Then the elevator will take it to the
dedicated floor. From here, another Welltron will deliver this parcel to the room where the parcel has to be
delivered.
5.3.4 – Automation for productivity in workplace:
Kartankristo can process what the user is thinking and write it down in words. This will drastically improve the
working speed. Workers will be using the LiFi network for better distribution of data transfer speed. Computers
can be connected by Lightwave wires for extremely seamless data transfers with minimum loss of data.
Workers may also get a PorTablet if the company they are working in subscribes for it. Workers can-do large-
scale projects with real time collaboration with the best of business AI Assistants.
5.3.5 Protection of data
Private user data like identification details, bank information, medical history and illnesses, thoughts, data in
Kartankristo, and work data will end to end encrypted. The data will be converted into hash format which is a
one-way conversion. After data is converted to hash, it cannot be reversed and so no human will ever be able to
see your data. Cassandras will be using LiFi for the whole settlement. This method will be emitting Wi-Fi from
Light/Light sources. For this, Lights will be put everywhere in workplaces, homes etc. Wi-Fi will be accessible
anywhere throughout the Trien spheres

5.4
Cargo is very important for any vehicle travelling to and fro from destinations. Thus, our team has designed cutting-
edge and state of the art tech to overcome this challenge.

5.4.1 - Automated loading and

unloading of cargo:
The CASSCS will be stored in vertical
rows in the central storage and
docking cylinder as mentioned before.
Cassandras will be having 12,000
CASSSCS. For this, we have developed
an extremely efficient CASSSC picker
bots to pick out CASSSCS and take
them to the trusses by gliding up or
down the pole attached to it. These
robots consist of an extrusion and 4
arm like structures with magnets
attached to them. This will enable
them to have a good grip on the
CASSSCs. The robots will be made with
Aluminum and Composite Fiber
Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) sandwich
construction-modified I-1 K Bus. There
will be back up measures to account
for any failure. The CASSSACS will be
placed on metal structures with guard
rails. Each CASSSACS will have a
unique code linking it to various &
different areas. The cargo bot will be
mounted with a scanner to scan the CASSSC Picker Bot
unique code of each of CASSSCS for
logistical purposes.

5.4.2. - Transport of desired cargo:

Cassandras will have an advance interface
which will control all functions of
transportation including alerts. The trusses
that connect the Trien spheres to the central
cylinder will house rails to transport the
CASSSCS (Each Truss will have 6 rails). These
rails will have a vacuum and will move the
CASSSCS using a magnetic force. Before each
transport, the spokes connecting the Trien
spheres will be checked for damage. This will
be done by sending an electric charge through
the links and checking if they are received on
the other end. In case of damage or
malfunction, a team consisting of robots and
humans will be alerted for repairs.

5.4.3 – Launch, landing and repair of satellites

and other spaceships:
When the CASSANDRAS is in Earth’s orbit, 5
docking pads will be enabled for 24x7 in case of
emergencies. These will also serve as a repairing
dock for satellites. Transport shuttles, which ferry
passengers and cargo will also be able to land
here to avail mid-flight service, repairs etc. The
docking area would be airtight and emergency
pods will be aligned to eject from respective pod
launch locations. 4 of the docks will be attached
around the central cylinder and there will be one
above the central cylinder at the end of the
transit, people and CASSSCs will exit through
these docks.
Location of Docks
5.5.1 Guest services done by Robots:
We understand the need of the minimal human requirement in guest services. This is why many of our guest
services such as cooking, law and order and healthcare are mostly automated.
Cooking system and bots:
The Cassandras settlement doesn’t have many out-eating restaurants but has many kitchens that deliver to the
passenger’s residence. The whole cooking system is automated. Each restaurant has a fixed cuisine or fixed
variety of dishes to prepare. When an order is sent out using the holocad device by a passenger, it is sent into
our restaurant system and our A.I. decides which kitchen will be able to prepare the order and in the fastest
time. Once the order is ready it is sent into our delivery system and is sent to its location.
Law and order system and bots:
To be able to maintain peace among 8800 people we have an automated police system. Many of these bots are
traffic bots that monitor the movement of robots, vehicles and humans across the settlement. In case of crimes
or need of physical intervention we have a few humanoid bots that take criminals into custody or stop a physical
fight. In case of extremely rare circumstances such as a firefight we have bots that shoot tasers, pellets and chili
bullets. Once a passenger is taken into custody, he/she is kept in a cell till the end of the transit and all the
technicalities are completed by a board of humans.

5.5.2 Transportation systems:

Cassandras has a hyperloop network on the
top floor of each section of the torus. This
network has many stations each having an
elevator extending down across all the floors.
If a person needs to travel from one place to
another, he/she will have to take the elevator
closest to their residence up to the top floor
from which they will be taking a hyperloop
pod that can take up to 3 people each to the
elevator station closest to their destination.
From here they will get down through the
elevator and get to their destination. In case
of travelling short distances, customers will
be provided with wave boards. Cassandras
will have automated wheelchairs for medical
services and for the injured and elderly. These
will be able to navigate to the destination on
its own.

Automated Wheelchair
CASSANDRAS
38
5.5.3 Delivery system:
The delivery system is located on the bottom
floor of each section. When a person orders a
product, the order is processed by our A.I.
system and sends a message to the designated
location from which the product will be
delivered. Once the order is received, it is
dispatched to the nearest elevator. These
elevators extend to the bottom floor and can be
accessed by only robots and authorized
personnel. Once the order reaches the elevator,
it is sent down to the bottom floor from where it
is transported to the nearest elevator to the
passenger’s residence through our TubeX
system, which is a network of vacuum pipes for
delivery of material. From there it is sent up to
the persons floor. When it is sent to the elevator
on the persons floor, the person can either pick
it up from there or it can be delivered to their
doorstep by a robot.
When materials come to the habitable sections
from the CAASSCS in the center, it is sent down
the delivery system and is sent to different
places across the section. Wave board used to travel short distances.

Bottom floor floorplan and delivery system

5.5.4. Human interaction with automation systems:

Residents on board the Cassandras will interact with the law and order robots, the traffic bots, healthcare
bots, delivery bots. Humans will also be able to access the transport elevators as well as the hyperloop
network. The delivery elevators will not be accessible to residents. They can only be accessible by robots
and authorized personnel.

6.0 SCHEDULE AND COST

6.1.1
We start on 7th May 2081. For all further references, years refer to Earth Years and Months refer to Earth
Months. We would start building the center first. The main Structure of the Cylindrical Center Center (the
cylinder supports itself with the fusion thrusters) would take 46 months or 3.83 years to build. There has been
a two months buffer time for this structure. It would be built starting from the top going to the bottom. Then
when this structure is nearly completed, the five docking ports would be built and connected to the center for
better shipment and transport to and fro from Mars and CASSANDRAS. The Subcontractor Lossless Airlocks
would need to provide us with Airlocks while making these Docking Ports. While this is being built, Solar panels
would also be built on Mars itself and then transported and connected atop the settlement. This would be
done in a time span of 28 months or 2.33 years. A buffer period of 1.6 months is there for this. Now we
construct the bearings and attach them to our center. For making the bearings and connecting them, 49
months or 4.083 years are needed with 4 months as a buffer period. Then, we start constructing the inner ring
and the trusses simultaneously. The inner ring would take 16 months or 1.33 years (3.6 month buffer) to build
and connect. Whereas, the trusses would take 24 months or 2 years (2.8 month buffer) to build and connect.
Now finally, we would be building the Trien Sphere itself which would take 54 months or 4.33 years to be
(buffer of 6.24 months) built and connected. Now, we would be doing all the interior connections (that are a
part of more than one major part) to CASSANDRAS which includes wires and cables through the trusses
(provided by Zap Industries), elevators and rails through the trusses etc. This also includes the packaging of
CASSSC (provided by Custom Cargo Accommodations) into the center. This would take 4 months or 0.33 years
(buffer of 1 month). People would start moving in. After this we would be covering the entire settlement with
the shell as specified in Structural 2.0 which would take a period of two months (15 days buffer). By now, the
entire population would have moved in. Foundation Housing would begin operations. The Gantt Chart is in the
dd-mm-yyyy format. The entire Settlement will take 12 years and 3 months to build.
CASSANDRAS
40

6.2.1
Note that our Human Workers would be only for monitoring. The laborious work would be done by bots
which would be three times as efficient as humans. The bots would be functioning 158 hours a week. If a bot
heats up or needs rest, another bot would take up its place. Also further note that the prices of the primary
protective materials like carbon fibre, carbon nanotubes and titanium has been reduced due to the fact that
this element would be in abundance during the construction. The idea behind the number of crew monitoring
the construction process lies less on the amount of work done by the bots but on the recentness and
innovation needed by the bots.
CASSANDRAS
41

7.0 BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Cassandras will have 4 strategically located ports, each of area 43000 sq. mtr., that will cater to 2-4 transfer ships
each. Overall, this means that Cassandras has capacity for 8-16 spacecraft that allows passengers and residents to
rapidly alight. The ports will be located on non-spinning volumes (the central cylinder) to make it easier for any
transfer ships to align and dock. Each of the ports will feature a dedicated CASSSC transfer facility which will link
up with the various warehouses for CASSSCs located throughout the settlement. Separation of the humans and
the CASSSCs will prove advantageous for 2 main reasons. Firstly, this will ensure quicker transfers of people and
CASSSCs alike since each entity will have a dedicated method of entering the settlement. Moreover, the separation
of CASSSCs will allow alighting people to be undisturbed and carefree with the knowledge that their belongings
will be carefully transferred onto Cassandras.

To make the process of transfer from transfer ships to artificial gravity pressurized volumes easier, there will be
direct ports that minimize distance between ports and hyperloop stations. The hyperloops will ensure quick travel
times between ports and the residential volumes to reduce the time taken for passengers and residents to transfer.

Our highest quality airlocks, sourced from Lossless Airlocks, ensure a safe and convenient transfer between the
artificial gravity environments and the transfer ships with infinitesimal loss of air during the process. To further
ensure better acclimation of residents and guests once onboard Cassandras, there will be an acclimation period in
a special region of the residential volumes to ensure that they can adjust to the 0.5g environment once onboard.

Stepping aboard Cassandras for the first time will be nothing less than a magical experience for the passengers and
residents considering that Cassandras will be an engineering marvel. Residents and passengers will be stunned at
the features, abilities and unparalleled comfort that Cassandras will offer to those onboard.

Passengers can rest assured that on board, Cassandras will encompass a new adventure every day. Besides the
multitude of activities and entertainment facilities, the residential and staterooms of each living community in the
three sections provide a sphere to capture the senses and entrance passengers with the natural beauty of
communal living in space. The well-integrated hyperloop system of transportation ensures passengers walk only
short distances before entering and riding on these essentially frictionless trains zipping across the settlements.
Our most unique selling point, in the aspect of experience enhancement, is the mosaic of the three themes: nature,
tech and change. Each has a plethora of facilities attuned to suit the theme.

In the nature theme, passengers are enveloped in the beauty of nature, a constant reminder of our Earth’s most
precious resource. With hydroponic vertical farming laden buildings and integrated floor spaces, this themed
volume is the most inspired and breathtaking homage to our blue home.

The tech theme is best suited for passengers who would like to immerse themselves in the realm of advanced
technology and productivity. The tori is dotted with several state-of-the-art architecturally and functionally
flamboyant buildings and centers.

The last but most popular theme is change, incorporating the philosophy of making change a constant. This tori is
filled with numerous activities including a range of adventure sports such as kayaking, simulated beach areas,
nightlife and extraterrestrial exploration that guests and residents can choose to embark upon.

The variety of dining, retail and entertainment options will be rented out to major multinational entertainment
corporations that can host their franchises onboard Cassandras. This will generate profits to the Foundation
Society and allow them to get a return of investment into Cassandras very quickly. Moreover, the independent
commercial ventures onboard will also be very popular and successful. This is mainly because passengers, who
make up the majority of the demographic, do not have kitchens in their staterooms. This ostensibly insignificant
detail proves as a strong incentive for the passengers to use onboard available dining facilities, hence generating
income for the dining facilities.
CASSANDRAS
42

Cassandras will also have banking services onboard for full-time residents to store their money and take loans.
Called the Cassandras Corporate Bank (CCB), the bank will offer financial support and help in further developing
business onboard. Monetary transactions will take place with the CCB in the form of credits. Credits are the
primary way that transactions take place onboard.

For example, if one wants to buy something from a shop, one pays for it virtually using one’s fingerprint, retina
or kartankristo and then it gets credited to one’s account as a payment. This virtual account handle’s income as
well, which gets credit as monetary inflows. Then, at either Mars or Earth, residents and passengers can clear
their credits using a currency of their choice - the credits will be recorded in USD and exchange rates will apply.
If they have a positive credit account, they will receive money and if a negative credit account, they will have to
pay money. This way, the hassle of money and transactions is left till the end of the journey. Moreover, since the
passengers and residents aren’t directly paying money, they tend to spend more too, supporting the ROI (Return
of Investment for the Foundation Society) and other small businesses and ventures onboard.

Cassandras will also offer cheaper alternatives to current transportation of cargo from Earth to mars than
other settlements in the cis-martian region. Offering transport and storage for a staggering 12,000 CASSSCs,
Cassandras will be the prime choice for shipping services. Cassandras will allow a variety of standard
configurations of cargo storage available for rent (view section 4.4) that will suit packages of all sizes and
shapes. The warp-speed hyperloop system will have a counterpart purely based for this purpose, with
warehousing facilities in each of the volumes and the central cylinder. The CASSSCs in the central cylinder will
be moved in the trusses that also house the hyperloop. The fully automated TubeX system in each of the
volumes will provide door delivery to the residents and passengers.

The camera pans into the villa of a renowned multi-billionaire actor.

Film star- Ahhh! This is life. I have enjoyed myself so much here and have been astounded by the beauty and
the extreme technological advancements here. I was a young boy living with my parents when I saw a
recording of the Saturn V rocket blasting off into space and taking Edward ‘Buzz’ Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and
Charles Collins to the moon. Now almost 30 years later, I’m in the CASSANDRAS enjoying and living life to the
fullest. My Kartankristo has helped me since I landed here. It has become my companion and I have never felt
the need of my manager ever since. First, it manages my calendar, finds suitable roles through its web
crawler and also manages my social media handles. Secondly, I am never lost here because the Kartankristo
ensures that I have directions to the nearest auditorium to record my parts in a new movie (I can’t give away
the name, it’s a secret), the best celebrity hangouts and the Michelin Five Star eateries. Above all, given my
need for maintaining my top shape it helps me for my fitness and vitals. In case of any anomaly in vitals it
sends me an alert to either prevent or to seek timely medical advice. It allows me to mostly lounge around
and exercise, go for fun activities, focus on my shooting and by end of the day laze around in my personal
jacuzzi. Since I have been a part of CASSANDRAS, my career has literally sky-rocketed. I really love it here and
I’m gonna be really sad when I leave. But one thing is for sure, I will be back!

We now move on to a mother, who is really proud of her child’s progress in school and is now no longer
worried about his future.

Mother- Traveling on the CASSANDRAS has been one of the best experiences of my life. My son just finished his
10th at the CASSANDRAS online education facilities. I am really proud of how his intellect is constantly
challenged without the usual stress accompanying the learning process! The online educational system of the
CASSANDRAS is flawless as per our experience. The recorded videos are extremely detailed and helped my
child learn better and faster. There are numerous advantages of this kind of education . All of it is quite easy to
adapt to and not so complicated as I thought it to be . One major plus point is that there is a 24/7 help center to
make sure that no students have any doubts. There has never been any weight of carrying books on my son as
the entire syllabus is on the Kartankristo. He has never once complained to me or has had any second thoughts
about the kind of education he has been getting at the CASSANDRAS. He always has sufficient free time to
spend time with his new friends or to pursue other recreational activities. Now, the exams were challenging
enough but the entire test sequence focused on cognitive skill sets rather than the usual rote learning. You
could pursue the subjects of your choice right from the beginning inculcating excellence in preferred subjects.
The education system is based on Smart Advanced Credit Mechanism (SACM) that progresses the student
basis merit rather than number of years.

My child’s Kartankristo is like a personal buddy in school. It has helped him with course curriculum, career
consulting, physical fitness and his medical welfare. Now that my son is confidently headed to college; I feel
that moving here was a boon and am really happy about our family’s decision.

The cameras are now recording what our captain astronaut wishes to say.

Astronaut- I was proud and overjoyed when I heard that I would be in command of CASSANDRAS. Of course I
knew that it would not be easy as the lives of 8880 were in the balance and a complex system to manage. It
definitely is not as easy as operating even the most complex systems on earth. However here is the magic trick
behind managing to calculate multiple variables, overlooking at least 100 gauges, instruments and making
split second decisions constantly. The Kartankristo helps me out to manage all of these and take all major as
well as minor decisions through its Co-captain Mode of Piloting (CMoP). The system has helped me out in some
of the toughest and most challenging times with ease. Everything has been going smoothly and the CMoP has
helped me a lot. Kartankristo has helped me schedule my hectic life with adequate breaks keeping me fresh
and motivated.. The cockpit of the CASSANDRAS is leading every other spaceship in the terms of technology. It
has its own “Jarvis” to monitor, calculate and decide through scenario building exercises. Thanks to this
technology minutest of errors have been detected and averted. Overall I’m really happy with the technology
and hope that I will get a chance to pilot this for another year.

We will now move on to a student, who is also the son of the mother we spoke to before and is studying

Student- My experience on this ship has been absolutely fabulous! The plethora of amenities , caring
hospitality and regular guidance really blew my mind away!

The online school has excellent and knowledgeable teachers explaining and guiding us each step of the way
eliminating the need for after school tuitions which honestly took away all the recreational time from our
schedule.

If we have a doubt , we can write to the help center at any time and get immediate help . The extremely
detailed yet easy to follow videos and lectures helped me to clear my concepts.

The online exams are a bit difficult , but they also give us ample time to prepare! They give regular revision
tests , so the chapter is well summarized in our minds and engraved in our memory. I love playing sports and
this system has given me ample time to play sports of my choice. This CASSANDRAS has numerous courts
and play areas for every sport imaginable! Football , cricket , handball , basketball , swimming , tennis ,
squash , you name it , they have it! This place was like a complete paradise for me . My favorite food was
available and with a large variety of desserts! I could get any desert I wanted and if needed could even make
my own, it was wonderful. My Kartankristo has been a major part of my life here, it has been my best study
buddy, medical welfare guide and helped me recover fast from the very few illnesses I suffered from ! I have
lived a very happy life on this ship and It has boosted my confidence to another level. I am able to enhance
my career of choice and build the necessary skill sets required for the future. I have many experiences and
incidents on this ship , in my times of sadness and happiness, my family , friends and the CASSANDRAS have
always been there for me. I am sure that I made a wise decision by getting onboard this wonderful ship.

The cameras now pan into the Research and Development Centre where the engineer is working on a
revolutionary thruster design which will maximize thrust, efficiency and maneuverability.

Engineer- I have had the time of my life on this ship!!! Its various technological marvels intrigue me, and are
quite unique. I hope that I could have been a part of the construction of this marvel. These amenities and the
interconnections of hyperloops are quite complex, but are very efficient and get the job done. I have been
able to interact with technologies which I had never thought to be possible and have been able to learn a lot
from them. Knowing and learning about them has added greatly to my skillset and I am at my productive
best. The designs for all the components are very advanced and solve many problems by themselves. My
Kartankristo has helped me use CAD and design my thruster before making a 3D model of it. Finally after
correcting mistakes I have managed to make a working model of it and have shown it to the head technicians
who have been very pleased with my design. All thanks to CASSANDRAS’ high tech tools and my
Kartankristo.

We now see a less abled person making his way to his house.

Less abled Person- Ever since I lost both of my legs in a car accident, the world has been different for me. I
have been treated differently and have lost out on many things in my life due to my loss of limbs.. This was
until I boarded the CASSANDRAS. As soon as I entered, I was given an electric wheelchair that would enable
me free mobility across the CASSANDRAS. The housekeeping bots in my room meant that my room would be
well kept by the time I got back. The transport systems made it so easy for me to commute across the
CASSANDRAS and it was thrilling to travel so fast to reach my destination. The various recreation activities
that I was able to partake in with special measures made me feel more alive than I ever had in the last thirty
years. My Kartankristo helped me to identify various activities that I could do aboard and also helped
regulate my heart rate and oxygen levels. It called the housekeeping robots to clean my room while I was
away. The user friendly technologies helped me to go about my daily tasks with ease. All the systems were
handicap friendly and were very easy to use.

The cameras now pan into the police station where we see a police officer on his break.

Police officer- Initially , I did not think that the security system of the CASSANDRAS could be reliable. But it
has been 2 months since I boarded this ship and honestly , I think that this system is more reliable than any
other security system in the world. To access various databases inside the settlement, there are various
levels of security needed to pass before you can access the database. To get access to the basic information ,
you need to give your thumbprint and there is even a DNA scanner! I was quite impressed by the quality of
these security levels and scanners. The security of bots of this facility also captivated me . They were quite
strong and resilient. They were very elegant and shiny and were not even affected by bullets! My job on
Earthas a police officer is to make sure that all the citizens in my area remain safe. On board the CASSANDRAS
, I do not think I have to worry about my job much , because I believe in this beautiful ship and its safety
practices.

Every person loves games. Be it a student, businessman or even an old person. However do we know how
difficult it is to make these games? Let's find out and hear what a game developer has to say.

Game Developer- Life has never been the same after I boarded the CASSANDRAS. On Earth, I had a really slow
and outdated computer to code with. However, now I have one of the most advanced computers with a
quantum chip which helps me code faster and download, review and play games. My Kartankistro has helped
me locate a buyer to purchase my older computers. The efficient transport system has helped me to move
from one place to another and even the other Trien-spheres even though I live in the Theme theme Trien-
sphere. Its elevators are extremely
