ZOOM PARENT GUIDE
Dear Parents,
1. Your child’s (our student’s) email address will be made on our school domain and will be
emailed to you on your current email address
2. As soon as you receive this newly created email address please change the password and
keep it safely and do not share it with anyone else
3. Please be aware that your child is under age, so you will be responsible for the safeguarding
of this email address
4. Once this is done, all communication will be done on your child’s Habib Public School
email address
5. You will receive online classes time tables, zoom meeting invites and every relevant
information on this address
6. Classes will be conducted on zoom platform. All zoom invites will be send at least 24 hours
before the scheduled time
Step-wise guide on how to use Zoom
Step 1: How to Access a Zoom Class
Parent will receive the zoom invite link from school teachers. By just clicking the link you will
redirect to the zoom page. You can also attend the zoom classes on your mobile phones / tablets.
For this please ensure that you've the Zoom app installed.
- To access zoom on your phones or tablets, download the app called Zoom Cloud meeting.
The app is available on both: IOS (App Store) and Play Store (Android)
- To download zoom on your desktop visit www.zoom.us.
Step 2: How to Join Zoom Meeting
You do not need to make an account on zoom to join a video call. You’ll receive the link for the
Zoom meeting along with the Meeting ID and password on email addresses. Click on that link and
it will redirect you directly to the virtual classroom.
Zoom-Etiquettes for Online Classes
Here are a few rules to be observed for this meeting. Please go over these carefully.
- Be prepared! Computer/Laptop/Microphone/Speakers and material ready to go.
- Students should be dressed appropriately for meeting their teachers and their fellow
students
- Please find a quiet place for classes in order to avoid disruptions / distractions
- Participants need to join early – up to 5 minutes before the meeting start time
- Student’s real name and GR numbers must be used for joining a meeting, otherwise,
participants will not be allowed to join
- Mute your microphone before meeting
- Participants need to turn off their camera unless, asked by the teacher
- Official class chats for academic talk only
- Raise your hand or comment if you have any questions
Please note that everything will be recorded; while chats will be saved.
