ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS

1. Draw a common internal tangent to two equal circles. Let the radius of both circles be 30mm
and the distance between their centres be 80 mm (5marks)

2. Draw a common internal tangent to two unequal circles. Let the radii of the circles be 30mm
and 20mm, the distance between their centres be 80 mm (5marks)

3. Draw a circle measuring 80 mm diameter and label accordingly: chord, segment, quadrant,
normal, tangent (5 marks)

4. Construct triangle ABC given perimeter = 120mm, base angle ABC = 30 degrees, base angle
ACB = 45 degrees and escibe a circle (5 marks)

5. Construct an ellipse using the 4 centre method given major axis 120mm , minor axis 70mm (10
marks )

6. Construct an ellipse using the rectangle method given major axis 120mm, minor axis 80 mm
(10marks)

7. Draw the development of surface of a right cone . Diameter of base of the cone = 70mm ,
height of cone = 75mm (10 marks )

8. Draw a heptagon using compass method given diameter of circle as 100mm (5 marks)

9. Draw an octagon using compass method given length of one side as 40 mm (5 marks)
10. Redraw the diagram below (10 marks)

11. The diagram below has been draw in first angle projection, draw an isometric view of the
diagram using A as the lowest point (10 marks)
12. Draw the diagram below in Oblique projection (10 marks)

13. Draw freehand sketch of macrometer (10 marks)
