The Performance Task:


For Online Learners: The learners are expected to create their own sprite with
background in scratch.mit.edu, this will be used for a child friendly game for kids experiencing
worry, anxiety and fear during the lockdown cause by the pandemic. you can send a screenshot in
any photo format or inserted in Microsoft word document for submission.

Goal:
The health department of Xaros city is in need of new ways of dealing with the
worry, anxiety and fear that kids aged 5-13 experienced during the lockdown. To utilize the use of
the Internet your team come up to have the idea to make a game to help as a coping mechanism,
positive tool for those dealing with mental health issues.

Role:
The learner is a part of a game development for a city. He/she takes care of sprite its design
and background for the game before coding, testing and deployment.

Audience:
Adviser as the mayor and the personnel of health department of the city who will rate the
learner’s suggestions prior to the site specification document.

Situation:
You are the lead software designer for the game you and your team will develop, you are
assigned to make the sprite and background for the game intended for kids aged 5-13 years old,
the software that you and your team are going to use is SCRATCH for design and coding, you can
send a screenshot in any photo format or inserted in Microsoft word document for submission.

Product:
Own concept/design of a sprite together with a background.
