I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to do the following:

A. 1. discuss the origin and characteristics of cha-cha-cha;

B. 2. identify the basic steps of cha-cha-cha;

C. 3. perform skill fully with a partner;

II. Subject Matter


Topic. The Cha-Cha-cha Dance
Reference/s: pages 202 - 207, Exploring with MAPEH by Jocelyn V. Bautista, et. al.
Materials: PowerPoint, Laptop, Speaker
III. Procedure
A. Preliminaries
1. Prayer
2. Greetings
3. Checking of attendance
4. Review
Motivation
The teacher wants you all to stand up and follow the basic movement I will
be executing or performing.
B. Activity
The teacher will present a video clip of one of the dances of Muslim
groups in the Philipp
C. Analysis
The teacher will ask a series of questions to the students about the video
that they watched.
 What have you observed about the video?
 Are they related to other Muslim dances here in the
Philippines? In terms on music, costumes or even dance
steps?
E. Application
The teacher will divide the class into 2 groups. Each group will give a task
to practice the dance steps of Singkil. The teacher will give time to the
students to prepare their task.
IV. Evaluation:
The teacher will let the group to perform the dance steps in front of the class. The
task will be graded according to the following criteria:

CRITERIA Percentage %
Mastery 30%
Relevance/Content 25%
Creativity 25%
Presentation 20%
TOTAL: 100%

V. Assignment:
The teacher will make the students to create 5 sentences about the topic
discussed and it will be submitted next meeting. Here are the questions that the
student needs to answer:
a. In your own understanding., describe what is Singkil dance and how it
different from other Muslim dances.
b. How will you preserve this dance?
