AI Robot Trouble Shooting Guide
USER WAS UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD FROM LINKS AND YOU NEED TO SEND EA DIRECT.
I have attached the robot ex4 file to this email. Please be aware that the ex4 file is NOT
meant to be opened (do not try to open this file directly as it will come up with a message
that there is no program to support this file).
First you need to ensure you have downloaded a MetaTrader4 Trading Platform first.
1. When your MT4 Broker platform is closed....
2. Hover your mouse above the .ex4 attachment in this email.
3. Right click your mouse and a popup menu will give you a list of options.
4. Select COPY. Then go and open MY COMPUTER (Windows Explorer) found through
your START then COMPUTER (also called My Computer).
5. Then expand C/Drive, the PROGRAM FILES, then (your) MT4 Broker - whoever you
downloaded as your MT4 demo or live account, then EXPERTS folder.
6. When you have found the EXPERTS folder RIGHT CLICK on that name and click
PASTE.
7. Then reopen your MT4 Broker Platform and you should see the Robot within the
EXPERTS folder located under the NAVIGATOR window on the left side of your
screen.
Continue with the instructions within the User Guide.
IF ROBOT IS NOT TAKING ANY TRADES
Please check one thing for me. On your menus across the top of your MT4 Broker platform
please go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, the EXPERT ADVISORS, and please check that you have
the ALLOW LIVE TRADING ticked. And do the same within the inputs of each robot installed
(on each time frame or pair) you will need to double click on the smiley face to change and
save the INPUTS under there.
HOW DO I KNOW MY ROBOT IS INSTALLED?
The robot is installed correctly and ready to trade if there is a smiley face on the top right
hand corner of the chart.
HOW DO I KNOW THE ROBOT IS TRADING?
When the robot takes a trade you will see an obvious green (entry) line or a red (stop loss)
line across your chart, showing the price that it has entered the trade.
If you had 3 EURUSD charts open, each with a different robot and only 1 robot took a trade,
you will see the horizontal entry lines across all 3 of the EURUSD charts… To find out which
chart/robot the trade executed on you can distinguish it by a grey circle with an arrow in it
pointing to the exact entry which that robot entered the trade.
You will see all OPEN trades in the TRADE tab within the TERMINAL window.
HOW DO I SEE THE HISTORICAL TRADES?
Any closed trades are located in the ACCOUNT HISTORY tab in your terminal screen.
WHAT IS THE MONEY MANAGEMENT FUNCTION?
When the MM setting is TRUE then the robot will calculate the position size (lots) itself so
that you never exceed the Risk% that you have selected. For example; if you have set a 5%
risk on a $5,000 account balance, the robot will not risk any more than $250 per trade (5%
of $5,000).
1% is a lower risk and 5% is a higher risk. Only use whole numbers eg; 2.0 = 2% (do NOT use
2.5%).
WHAT PAIRS OR TIME FRAMES DOES THE EA WORK BEST UPON?
The AI Forex Robot was created on the EURUSD 1 hour chart.
WHAT SETTINGS SHOULD I USE?
Please use the DEFAULT settings of the EA.
You can RESET these by double clicking on the Smiley face.
PLEASE CHECK THE INPUTS under the SMILEY FACE - if your broker is a 4 digit broker make
sure you change the 5 digit to FALSE – otherwise the Stop Loss and Take Profit become too
wide.
WHAT IS THE 5 DIGIT BROKER SETTING?
Brokers display prices in either 4 or 5 digits – these are the total count of numbers found to
the RIGHT of the decimal point.
PLEASE CHECK THE INPUTS under the SMILEY FACE - if your broker is a 4 digit broker make
sure you change the 5 digit to FALSE – otherwise the Stop Loss and Take Profit become too
wide.
