Schools in Cluster VI

Rationale :
As enshrined under Section 3 of Republic Act No. 7278 (An
An Act amending Commonwealth Act No. 111, as amended by
Presidential Decree No. 460, entitled “An Act to Create a Public
Corporation to be Known as the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, and to
Define its Powers and Purposes,” by strengthening the volunteer and
democratic character of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and for other
purposes) which states that, the purpose of the BSP corporation shall
be to promote through organization and cooperation with other
agencies, the ability of boys to do useful things for themselves and
others, to train them in scoutcraft, and to inculcate in them patriotism,
civic consciousness and responsibility, courage, self-reliance,
discipline and kindred virtues, and moral values, using the method
which are in common use by boy scouts.”
The said activity shall be an opportunity to achieve the vision
and mission of the Boy Scout of the Philippines to train the members
in scoutcraft, and to inculcate them the value of patriotism, civic
consciousness and responsibility, courage, self-reliance, etc.
Objectives :
This activity aims to:
a. orient and introduce the scouters the concept of scouting;
b. engage the scouters with different fun activities, games and fellowship
that would help them to develop their interpersonal skills;
c. make the scouters realize the value of learning and service;
d. teach the scouters to be independent and be responsible through
different activities;
e. develop the character of the scouters.
f. strengthen the scouters’ moral and spiritual values.

schools ,
located in Cluster VI such as the Holy Cross of Mintal and Holy
Child
College of Davao.
: This is not compulsory and parent consent is secured prior to the
training.
Expected Outcome :
1) Skills on First Aid Basic Life Support
2) Skills on Bandaging, Lashing, Knot Tying, Kinds of Carry and Crew
Organizations
3) Learn the value of camaraderie, independence and leadership
