• Word is used for long form documents. This
can span from many things such as
business letters to someone just writing
silly stories for themselves
POWERPOINT
• PowerPoint is most often used to create
interesting slideshows of information
without overwhelming the viewers with
words and supplying images to keep them
engaged
EXCEL
• Excel is used for the purpose of making
tables/spreadsheets to fit your needs. This
can range from business managing their
money to some one planning a budget
ACCESS
• Access is very similar to Excel but is used
mainly to collect and sort data
OUTLOOK
• Outlook allows you to manage your emails
and calendar, store contacts, and track
your tasks

PROCESSING UNIT
• The CPU in a computer is the most
important processer in the unit. This is
what you are sending instructions too when
using a computer
MONITOR
• This is the screen on which you view the
information processed by the CPU.

• Hardware is the physical components in
which make up the computer itself

• The internet is a global network which
provides information and communication
methods to anyone connected to it

• Small device used to control the cursor on
a monitor, typically with buttons for
additional usage
KEYBOARD
• The Keyboard is the device that is used to
input letters and certain operations into the
computer to allow navigation
NETWORK
• Networks are used to connect multiple
devices and allow them to efficiently
communicate between them
MODEM
• A modem is the device that allows you to
access the internet
SCANNER
• A scanner takes physical objects (usually
paper) and copies the contents into digital
media.
HARD DRIVE
• The hard drive is the place in which you
store all your digital content
WIRELESS CONNECTION
• Wireless connection uses cell towers to
connect devices, well, wirelessly

CONNECTION
• This allows you to have faster connection to
a certain device or area by connecting a
cord directly to the source of wifi
ANTIVIRUS
• Antivirus software is designed to protect
devices from malware by providing
warnings, creating firewalls, and
conducting sweeps through the system

• The web browser is the place in which you
search the content of the internet. Xamples
of this being Google Chrome and Microsoft

• This is when individuals send emails in
which the goal is for you to click on so it
allows them to steal your data

• LAN is a physical network that connects

CARBON COPY (CC)
• A Cc also stands for carbon copy, this is
what allows you to send the email to a
separate recipient other than the main
person

(BCC)
• When a BCC of an email is sent to
someone, any other people who received
regular CCs will not be able to see that the
person has received the email

• The to on an email is very self explanatory
as it is who you are sending the email to.
SUBJECT
• This is the single line of text people see
when they see your email
