Lux Update Procedure

The Mercury LUX amplifier's firmware is updated through a USB-C port using TyUploader software on a 64-bit Windows computer. The update files are downloaded, the USB cable is connected from the amplifier to the computer, and TyUploader is used to select the hex file and initiate the quick update, indicated by a scrolling green rectangle and reboot with an R in morse code. The amplifier then shows the new firmware version on startup.

Mercury LUX Firmware update procedure.

The Mercury LUX's built-in Microcontroller is updated via the USB-C port located on the
rear panel of the Amplifier using the TyUploader software. You will need a 64-Bit Window
computer and a USB-C cable from your computer's USB port to the LUX.

• Download LUX Firmware update files located at https://www.km3km.com/downloads/

• Unzip and keep all the files in the same folder.

• Disconnect all USB accessories except the USB-C cable coming from the Mercury
LUX. And turn you LUX Amplifier ON

• Run TyUploader and select the USB Serial xxxxxx (1). There may be other devices here
depending on what other devices are attached to your PC.

• Select the (.hex) file on Upload tab (2). Update will occur in a few seconds, when the
update is being performed a rectangle will scroll in green (3) then stop, and the Amplifier
will restart emitting R in morse code.

Note: You will now see the Firmware version at the top of the amplifier main screen at every
power up and it will disappear when you start to operate the Amplifier. The Display
firmware version is shown on the initial screen and will not change with this procedure.
