One important tool that enables lashing an FPGA or its attached Flash memory, Xilinx
Impact which we will show brie ly how to use it for downloading bitstream into an FPGA.
Open Xilinx Impact.

Click Cancel. Click Edit>>Launch Wizard

Make sure that your FPGA is connected. Then Click Ok

The following message will appear.

Click No for the moment. The following Prompt will appear. Click Cancel.

You can see all scanned devices which in our case are the FPGA chip and attached Flash

You can assign the ile that you want to download into the FPGA by right click then choose
“Assign New Con iguration File”

Browse to the target ile. When you add it, click on the FPGA icon to see available options

Double click on program to download the bit ile into the FPGA. Click ok or Apply

The FPGA shall be programmed successfully.
