MSFS Drone Camera View Guide

Reset Drone View Position: Number Pad 5

Toggle Airplane Control: C


Press C to enable / disable control of the airplane while in drone camera mode.

Start/Stop Drone: Ins


To toggle between Cockpit View or Drone View press the Insert key.

Translate forward / back: W / S

Translate left / right: A / D

Translate up / down: R / F
Rotation Yaw: Num 4 / 6

Rotation Pitch: Num 2 / 8


Ctrl + Space engages a 90 degrees pitch, looking straight down to the ground. Space resets
this.

Rotation Roll: Num 7 / 9

Reset Roll and Pitch: Space


Translation Speed:
The F5 and F6 keys decrease and increase the drone translation speed.

Rotation Speed:
The F7 and F8 keys decrease and increase the drone rotation speed.

Zoom:
Num + and – zoom in and out.The Mouse Wheel zooms too.

Attach Target: Tab


Toggles between attached mode where the drone flies with the plane, or unattached mode where it can go its
own separate way.
Before unattaching the drone it might be a good idea to pause the airplane first via the Pause key.
Lock Target: Ctrl + Tab
Locks / unlocks the plane as camera target. When locked, no matter where we move the drone the
camera will keep looking at the plane.
