Smartphones Are Not Necessary For Social
Survival

Today I will be sharing about why “Smartphones are not
necessary for social survival”. While phones are a great way to
stay connected and endlessly entertain us for hours, experts
say they have a negative impact on our social skills and our
manners. They force us to be anti-social, lose patience easily,
use incorrect spelling and grammar, and it also limits our
face-to-face interactions with each other. Cell phones are
stopping children from these social skills, because now they’re
too caught up in technology than the real world. Which stops
children from participating in activities and contests. It
marginalizes them from the real world. Apart from this, mobile
phones also influence our nervous system and other health
conditions. Overuse of cell phones causes headaches,
decreased attention, uncontrolled temper, depression, diabetes,
and obesity. Phones also cause stress and disturbances of
sleep. Phones are also a waste of time, since remaining out of
interaction students just want to play games, watch movies,
listen to music instead of doing something more educational
and beneficial with their time. Mobile phones also cause
addiction, people are unable to stop themselves from using a
phone. They can’t imagine themselves from using a phone.
Smartphones are also sometimes the cause of car accidents.
While people are driving, they feel the need to keep
communicating because of this constant form of
communication. Which leads to car accidents. In India, at least
20 people die every day due to car accidents. Spam messages
also fall under the disadvantages of phones. Many of us receive
fake sale calls and texts. As they’re not sent by a real person but
through a computer. Money-making scams are increasing
everyday, these are also targeted for the most vulnerable
people of our community. That’s why we need to limit our screen
time and spend more time with our family and friends.
