Meaning of word processing
Word Processing describes the use of electronic
equipment to create, view, edit, manipulate,
transmit, store, retrieve and print text-based
documents.
▪ Word Processing refers to the word processing
program/software that is used in the
production of printable material. Examples of
word processing software is WordPerfect,
Microsoft word, Open Office.org and
AppleWorks.

that can be typed and produced using
suitable machinery or hand-written. e.g. a
memo, a letter, a report, a book, etc.

▪ The page number is placed in an area at the top of the page

Insert a section break
▪ Section break are used to change the layout or format of
different parts of a document.
▪ They allow to set different page orientation, paper sizes,
margins, page borders, text alignment and headers and footers

Finding and file retrieval
How to recover Unsaved Word Document?
1.In MS Word, click the File Tab in the upper left.
2.Click Manage Document and select Recover
Unsaved Documents from the drop-down list.
3.Check for your missing file in the dialog box.

▪ Locate the file that you want to delete.
