Gross examination:
Received specimen in formalin in 1 container.
Received uterus cervix.
Uterus with cervix measures 8 x 3 x 2.8 cm.
Cervix measuring 2 cm in length.
Endometrial cavity measures 2 x 1 cm. Endometrium measures 0.1 cm in thickness.
Myometrium measures upto 1.5 cm in thickness.
Separate multiple soft tissue pieces total measures 4 x 3 x 1 cm.
Representative sections are submitted in 6 blocks. (Tissue saved)

Microscopic examination:-
Cervix-
Section of cervix show squamous metaplasia, chronic inflammatory infiltrate in stroma and
cystically enlarged endocervical glands. No dysplasia is seen.
Nabothian cystic follicles seen.
Endometrium-
Section shows small round to tubular atrophic endometrial glands lined by low cuboidal to low
columnar epithelium with no mitotic figures. Few glands are cystically dilated.
Myometrium - Unremarkable
Separate tissue Section (E, F) shows fibro collagenous tissue pieces lined by stratified squamous
epithelium
No evidence of cytologic atypia/ malignancy in the section examined.
