Brief introduction At present he is working as Professor in Alagappa Chettiar
Government College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi
with 32 years of teaching and research experience.
Currently, he is guiding 5 Ph.D. scholars. Of them, 2 are doing in full
time and 3 are doing part time mode.
So far, 10 Ph.D. scholars, 2 M.S scholars and more than 150 M.E
scholars have completed their respective degrees under his
guidance in the fields of optical communication, visible light
communication, flexible electronics and biomedical applications.
He is interested to undertake research works in the field of Optical
Communication and Visible Light Communication.
He has published around 97 papers in the reputed indexed
international journals and more than 54 papers in international and
national non-indexed journals.
He has participated / presented in many national and international
conferences.
Besides he has contributed to 6 book chapters also.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Projects He was the coordinator of the ‘Entrepreneurship development cell’
(EDC) of Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and
Technology, Karaikudi.
He has got a project fund of Rs.5 Lakhs from the All India Council
for Technical Education (AICTE) for establishing EDC.
He was also instrumental to fetch a grant to the tune of Rs.66
Lakhs under ‘Fund for Improvement of S&T Infrastructure in
Higher Educational Institutions’ (FIST) from the Department of
Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
He also organized extreme level of Workshops, Seminars, Faculty
Development Programme (FDP), National and International level
conferences.
Award Received RULA (Research Leadership Award of the Year 2020)
Award for "International best researcher in Nonlinear effects of
Optical Communication" issued by IJRULA and World research
council.
Received “Life time achievement award for Education” from Sri
Karunanandar Charitable Trust, Thiruvannamalai in Dec 2020.
