FIT9137 S1 2024 Assignment 2 – Network
Design PPT Presentation & Report – Marking Guide
Submission Guidelines:
● This assessment task is done individually, and you will be required to work to apply your
knowledge, to analyze network design topics.
● In this assessment you will develop a critique PowerPoint presentation on an RFP
Request for Proposal on the network design.
● This will cover the first four learning outcomes of the unit.
● All submissions are to be made via Moodle, where Turnitin is enabled.
● Assignments not submitted through Moodle will not be considered. Submissions must
be made by the due date. Assignments left in draft mode will also not be accepted.
The Turnitin similarity score will be used in determining the level, if any, of academic integrity
issues. Turnitin will check websites, Journal articles, the Web and your own class member
submissions for plagiarism. If this is a concern, you will have a chance to change your
assignment and re-submit. However, re-submission is only allowed prior to the submission due
date and time. After the due date and time have elapsed, you cannot make re-submissions and
you will need to accept the similarity score as there will be no chance for changing. Thus, plan
early and submit early to take advantage of this feature. You can upload files multiple times in
draft mode, but please remember we only see the final submission, and the date and time you
submitted will be recorded.
Submission files:
● Your document should be a single pdf/PPT document containing your presentation
slides. In addition, you will be submitting the Video presentation file along with your
presentation slides.
● When you submit the assignment in Moodle, please make sure the submission is not left
in the draft mode. Before the expiry of the deadline make sure, the submission is made
final. If the submission is left in draft state, it will be deemed as NOT submitted and will
NOT be marked.
Warning: Important Submission check for every student: It is students’ responsibility to check
if their submitted work is markable by our teaching team. It is recommended that every student
immediately download their own work (e.g., recorded video/PDF file, etc) before finalising their
submission, and check if the assignment would be downloadable/readable/markable by a tutor.
If the teaching team is unable to mark your submission, your submission may receive a mark of
zero. Once you complete this check, make sure to finalise your submission by the due date and
time.

● References (You would usually stop here in your recorded video)

Note: Turnitin will be used to check for Plagiarism; disciplinary action will be taken
within the Monash Academic Integrity & Misconduct School policy and laws.
