3rd Quarter Performance Task
PROBABILITY CARNIVAL

 GOAL
The challenge is for you to create and design your own carnival game in which you can
apply the concepts of the mean and variance of discrete random variables.

 ROLE
You are game makers and businessmen.

 AUDIENCE
Your target audience will be your classmates, peers, and teachers.

 SITUATION/SCENARIO
Probability plays a significant role in our daily lives. We utilized concepts of probability in
our decision-making specifically games of chances like in carnivals. Carnivals play a
multifaceted role in enriching the fabric of our community life, offering a blend of entertainment,
social engagement, and support for local causes and businesses. In connection with this, you
are encouraged by the Local Government Unit to open a carnival in celebration of the upcoming
42nd Founding Anniversary of the municipality of Leon B. Postigo, ZN.

 PRODUCT/PERFORMANCE

You will create and design your games in the carnival showing the probabilities of
winning and losing.

 STANDARDS

Your output will be evaluated using the following rubric below.

 Game Mechanics ( 20 points)


a. Quality of rules and instructions (5 pts.)
