Unlocking The Power and Potential of His Word
Day One: The Power of His Word
His Word to His Children
“I want my children to know and love my Word, to love it, love devouring it, to
love learning it and living it. Faith comes by hearing, or by hearing and
understanding my Word. I want you my son—and those who hear you—to be
Bible learning and living junkies; who so love searching for and receiving the
treasure in my Word—treasure that changes everything—that they’re willing to
put all other distractions aside. For those who do this, I will not only open my
Word further to them, but I will bless them and elevate them and make them
leaders in the Kingdom Movement that’s about to change everything on this
planet.
Every seed needed for the transformation of everything is in my Word, and
each seed carries the vision and blueprint for that change, and power needed
to produce the change! Son, it’s like me handing you, a perfect business idea,
the business plan to make it happen, along with all the funding, favor,
provision and blessing needed to make it wildly successful. My children need
to stop seeing my Word as just a religion or Faith thing; it’s meant to shape
everything I envisioned for you and the planet. If my children see it as the
foundation, and blueprint for everything, that contains the power and blessing
to bring that blueprint into reality, maybe, they’ll stop giving it a small amount
of their time—the time they relegate to their Faith—because they’re too busy
taking care of all the other parts of their lives. No, my Word is the KEY to
everything in this life, and that everything, is all beyond your imagining! I’m
looking for those who will lead the way!”
In order to transform you and to be a leader in expanding the Kingdom (a
planet transformer) you need to love, pursue, learn and live His Word!
2 Timothy 3:14-17 (ESV)
14 But as for you, continue (abide, John 15:7) in what you have learned
and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how
from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are
able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All
Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof (proof,
evidence), for correction (restoring to an upright state), and for training in
righteousness, 17 (YLT) ...that the man of God may be fitted (perfectly
furnished, Hebrews 13:21)--for every good work having been completed.
The word translated “continue” is the word translated “abide” in John 15:7:
John 15:7 (ESV)
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and
it will be done for you.
Acts 17:11 (ESV)
11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they
received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see
if these things were so.
Examining: to scrutinize, i.e. (by implication) investigate, interrogate,
determine: — ask, question, discern, examine, judge, search
Love The Word
Intro Psalm 119
Psalms 119 (ESV)
Selected Verses
35 Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it.
47 for I find my delight in your commandments, which I love.
72 The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver
pieces.
77 Let your mercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.
92 If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
97 Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.
98 Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with
me.
103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
111 Your testimonies are my heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.
113 I hate the double-minded, but I love your law.
119 All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross, therefore I love your
testimonies.
127 …I love Your commands more than gold, even the purest gold,
131 I open my mouth and pant, because I long for your commandments.
159 Consider how I love your precepts! Give me life according to your
steadfast love.
161 …my heart stands in awe of your words.
162 I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil.
163 I hate and abhor falsehood, but I love your law.
165 Great peace have those who love your law; nothing can make them
stumble.
167 My soul keeps your testimonies; I love them exceedingly.
172 My tongue sings about Your promise, for all Your commands are
righteous.
174 I long for your salvation, O LORD, and your law is my delight.
Teach Me
Psalms 119 (ESV)
Selected Verses
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.
19 I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not your commandments from me!
26 …teach me your statutes!
27 Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your
wondrous works.
29 Put false ways far from me and graciously teach me your law!
33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end.
34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my
whole heart.
64 The earth, O LORD, is full of your steadfast love; teach me your statutes!
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your
commandments.
68 You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.
73 Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I
may learn your commandments.
102 I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me.
104 Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false
way.
108 Accept my freewill offerings of praise, O LORD, and teach me your rules.
135 Make your face shine upon your servant, and teach me your statutes.
144 Your testimonies are righteous forever; give me understanding that I may
live.
169 Let my cry reach You, LORD; give me understanding according to Your
word.
171 My lips will pour forth praise, for you teach me your statutes.

What does He use to teach you?
Luke 24:25-27 (ESV)
25 And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe ALL
that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ
should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 And beginning with
Moses and ALL the Prophets, he interpreted to them in ALL the Scriptures
the things concerning himself.
Luke 24:32 (ESV)
32 They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he
talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?”
Luke 24:45 (ESV)
45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
He opens our eyes through scripture!
Genesis 3:7 (ESV)
7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked.
And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
They started to make their own conclusions about right and wrong.
When Jesus opened the Disciple’s eyes to the Word—the word translated
“opened” means “to open thoroughly what had been closed.”
Isaiah 42:6-7 (ESV)
6 “I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the
hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for
the nations,
7 to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the
dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.
He opened our eyes again to see truth… USING THE WORD!
Ephesians 1:17-20 (ESV)
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you
the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18
having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the
hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious
inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of
his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great
might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and
seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places…
2 Peter 1:2-5 …through the knowledge of Him… in the Word!
Meditate

23 Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on
your statutes.
27 Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your
wondrous works.
78 …I will meditate on your precepts.
97 Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are
my meditation.
148 My eyes are awake before the watches of the night, that I may meditate
on your promise.
Heart, mind and mouth…
Isaiah 59:21 (ESV)

Romans 12:1-2 (ESV)
1 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your
bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your
spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by
the renewal of your mind..
Love His Word, Learn His Word, Meditate on and speak His Word
James 1:21-25 (HCSB)
21 Therefore, ridding yourselves of (put off) all moral filth and evil, humbly
receive the implanted word, which is able to save you.
22 But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23
Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man
looking at his own face in a mirror (2 Corinthians 3:18). 24 For he looks at
himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25
But the one who looks intently (def.) into the perfect law of freedom
(James 2:12) and perseveres (def.) in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but one
who does good works — this person will be blessed in what he does.
James 2:12 (ESV)
12 So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of
liberty.
“Intently:” TO LOOK CAREFULLY INTO, INSPECT CURIOUSLY, OF ONE
WHO WOULD BECOME ACQUAINTED WITH SOMETHING
“Perseveres” to stay near, abide, continue always near to,
John 5:38-40 (HCSB)
38 You don’t have HIS WORD LIVING IN YOU, because you don’t believe
the One He sent. 39 You PORE OVER (search, investigate, examine) the
Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, yet they testify
about Me. 40 And you are not willing to come to Me so THAT YOU MAY
HAVE LIFE.
The Word and the Teacher in us, transforming us!
Colossians 1:26-27 (ESV)
26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his
saints. 27 To them God chose TO MAKE KNOWN how great among the
Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you,
the hope of glory.
