TERM-I
Unit - 1: Communication Skills- I: Communication Cycle, Various
Methods of Communication, Perspectives in Communication, Basic Writing
Skills.
Activity: Draw the mind map of 7’c of communication.
Unit – 2: Introduction to IT- ITeS Industry: Applications of IT in ITeS
Industry.
Activity: Name some (minimum 10) websites which are dealing with the IT
in Government and Public Services. (try to paste or draw picture of some of
the icons of IT sites by govt.) Give the heading of the activity - Digital India.
Unit – 3: Basic ICT Skills – I: Introduction to ICT, Components of
Computer System, Peripheral Devices, Basic computer operation,
Introduction to Internet, Introduction to E-mail, Introduction to Social
Media.
Activity: Name and paste pictures of any four popular Web Browsers.
Unit - 4: Data Entry & Keyboarding Skills: Using Data Entry tools, Getting
started with Typing Software.
Self-Management Skills – I: Importance of self-management, Building self-
confidence
Activity: 1. Write the rules to learn Typing. Draw or paste picture of the
correct posture while working on computer.
2. List your strengths and weaknesses. Mention an action plan for
any one weakness you want to improve.
Unit -5: Digital Documentation : Getting Started with a Word Processing
Application, Editing a Document, Formatting a Document, Creating and
Using Table, Print a document, Using Mail Merge
Activity: 1. Create a document, write few lines about yourself, save the
document with your name.odt.
2. Create a table in documentation Software for Time Table (Using
options of Creating table, inserting rows and columns, Merging
Cells). (Printout required
3. Prepare the list (Data source of your friends. Using Mail Merge
feature, Create and invitation letter and invite them on your
Brother’s marriage.
TERM-II
Unit- 6: Spreadsheet Applications (Elementary): Creating a Spreadsheet,
Editing data in a Spreadsheet, Formatting Data in Spreadsheet, Cell
Referencing, Introduction to Charts.
Activity: 1. Create a new workbook, insert a new worksheet in it. Now,
rename the worksheet with your name. Save the workbook with
a different name and delete the worksheet which was renamed.
2. Create charts of the following 3 types:
• Column Chart
• Pie Chart
• 3D Bar Chart
Based on the grocery expenses for each month from January to
December. E.g:
JANUARY 12800
FEBRUARY 13200
So on for other months.
Unit- 7: Entrepreneurial Skills – I: Types of Business Activities,
Characteristics of Entrepreneurship.
Activity: Create info graphics or mind maps from Chapter
Entrepreneurship skills (any three from the following
topics) (Qualities of Successful Entrepreneur, Types of
Business, Starting of Business, Characteristics of
Entrepreneurship, Role of Entrepreneurship)
Unit - 8: Presentation: Characteristics of a Good presentation, Getting
Started with Libreoffice Impress, Working with Slides, Working with Tables,
Inserting and Formatting Image in a Presentation, Working with Slide
Master.
Activity: In Presentation Software Create presentations for:
a. Green Skills
b. Any National International Day
c. Social Issues
d. Cyber Safety
Each Presentation should have 10 to 15 slides. Handouts with 6
slides per page is to be printed.
Unit -9: Green Skills – I: Environment Protection and conservation,
Importance of Green Economy.
Activity: Prepare Posters showing environment conservation in the
neighborhood, school, or public places.
