IMEM Autodialler MK-742 Programming Instructions
Unless otherwise stated by the customer, all our lifts are equipped with the telephone MK-742,
manufactured by Microkey/Avire. This is a telephone unit that can operate using an analogue line or a
GSM module.
- Faston connector F25. Corresponds to the arrows for the next direction of travel (NOTE: If the
arrow modules are placed in the landings, then there will not be connector F25 here).
- Connector C26 (AL2 board). When the lift is sent from factory, in C26 there will be a connector with
a single resistor. In order to connect the telephone unit in C26, this connector with its resistor must
be removed from the lift.
The MK-742 has a group of 7 DIP switches at one side. These switches are set from factory and
must not be modified:
In addition to this, it is necessary to connect the inductive loop to the telephone unit using the
cable with RJ45 connectors (linking connection EXP. AUDIO in the MK-742 unit to AUDIO IN in the
inductive loop).
When dialing the number from the line, after a few tones the telephone unit will open it. The first
time the telephone is programmed, it is recommended to start by switching the language of the
telephone from Spanish to the first language of the user. To do so, these steps must be followed:
- Once the person programming the telephone hears that the line is open, press: *81#4
- The telephone will then say “Introduzca el código”, which translates as “Enter code”.
- Once the code is introduced, the voice (now in English) will say “Correct code”, and will confirm
that the chosen value is 4.
From this point onwards and in future programming as well, the voice will always speak in English.
It must be mentioned that, in the first attempt at changing a command, the telephone will always
demand to introduce the code mentioned before (0000). Further command modifications during the
same call will not require introducing this code.
When attempting to program a telephone number (for example, the one for command *02#), the
procedure to follow is this:
- The telephone unit will ask for the telephone number (“Enter new telephone”). Introduce it,
finishing with #.
- The telephone then will ask to type the number again (“Enter again new telephone”). The number
must be introduced finishing with #.
- If the number has been properly introduced the second time then the telephone unit will state that
the number is correct.
- “0”. Validates the alarm when receiving an emergency call. If the person getting an emergency call
does not press 0 within the first 30 seconds after picking up the phone, the telephone will hang up.
- “*29#0”. If this command is not set to this value, the telephone will recall.
- “*82#X”. Here it is defined the language used for the pre-programmed messages for the telephone
unit (NOTE: same options as command *81#).
