I. Course Overview
Cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of computing services, including
applications, data storage and data processing, over the internet. Cloud Computing
have been adding value for business, Government and research organizations from
last decades. In today’s ever-changing business climate, small business owners must
be able to access data and applications from their computers, tablets or mobile
phones, whether in the office, out in the field or on the road. Cloud computing
provides this anywhere access via an internet connection.Innovation is directly tied
to business growth. Using legacy technologies can hinder an organization’s ability to
both experiment with new solutions, and actually deploy those solutions at a scalable
level. Fighting back-end performance issues can be a major struggle, especially in the
realm of web applications. Using the cloud as an infrastructure base for innovation
can lead to improved performance, lowered costs, and increased agility.
Rapid development of advancement in Cloud Computing technologies poses
opportunities for the business. In competitive environment of business world,
organization needs to achieve operational excellence and achieving competitive
advantages. Business Cloud Computing is used for many domains of business such as
PaaS, IaaS and SaaS. In general Business Cloud represents a collection of
technologies, people and processes that manage the information and communication
resources of an organization.
This course intends to facilitate students to understand the concept, relevance and
scope of Cloud Computing at different level of Business processes. Cloud Computing
is the emerging technologies for the Business. The study of Business Cloud provides
the modern manager with a greater understanding about the way in which the
organizations can adopt the technologies for the business automation with optimum
resources.

At the end of the course, the students would be able to:
1. Analyse the components of cloud computing for business agility.
2. Compare and contrast the economic benefits delivered by various cloud models.
3. Develop understanding of best practices for managing cloud based applications.
