Set Assignment Information
Bramar Sports Promotions is an expanding company that organises competitive
grappling events. The events cover different sports including wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
(BJJ) and judo. Some of the sports also have a choice of ruleset.
The company is based in a single office site where all planning and advertising activities
occur. Competitions take place in different sporting venues around the country, which
are hired for the duration of the event.
The company employs three staff (including management) who support the functions of
the business. Additional temporary staff are employed on an “as needed” basis to help at
the events (e.g. referees, first aid, catering). Some of the staff have additional needs such
as hearing and sight loss.
The company has a website where competitors can register for the events and choose
which sport and ruleset they wish to take part in.
Currently the company makes only limited use of social media.
You have been employed by Bramar Sports Promotions to work alongside the company’s
existing IT staff. As part of your role, you will look at how using IT can support different
aspects of the business and help prepare information that will be communicated to
internal and external stakeholders.
