SEB Browser installation guide for windows
1. Go to https://safeexambrowser.org/download_en.html
2. Click on the link as shown below
3. After that it will redirect to this page, wait for the download to being.
(Note: please take note of where you save the file.)
4. Once downloaded, go to the folder where the file is located and
double click to start installation. The filename likelihood named as
“SEB_3.8.0.742_SetupBundle.exe” or something similar.
5. Check the “I agree to the license terms and conditions” box and
click on install to start the installation process.

“yes” to start the installation process.
6. Once the installation is completed, it will show the following screen.
You will proceed to click completed to close.
7. Head to simccocs.org to start the contest, the browser may prompt
you to launch the lockdown browser, just click on “Open Safe Exam
Browser” to start. You may required to enter a password in the
process of launching the lockdown browser, get the password from
the administrator.
Once browser is successfully launched, the page loaded should look

How to quit the lockdown browser
Click the button circle in red.
Key in the password given by the administrator and click “Confirm”
to close the browser.
Below is some of the commonly encounter issues.
1. Insufficient Permissions (Windows/macOS)
Administrator Rights: On Windows, you typically need to run the
installer with “Administrator” privileges.
User Account Control (Windows): If UAC is set to a strict level, it
may silently block or disrupt the installation process.
How to fix:
Right-click the SEB installer (Windows) and select “Run as
administrator.”
On macOS, ensure you have the correct privileges or are using an
administrator account.
2. Incompatible or Outdated Operating System
Windows: SEB 3.8.0 typically requires at least Windows 10 or

installation.

5. Existing or Corrupt Installation
If you already have an older version of SEB installed and it is
