INTRODUCTION LEADERS PROGRAM

The Stand You Take as a Leader of Landmark

You, your life, and how you live it, makes THE difference.

Everything matters.

This is about you coming to terms with the difference you can,
do, and will make. It is possible to live in the space of the
difference you make.

Where you start is – everything matters and you live that

way.

Integrity is what allows that to become possible.

The Distinct Possibility of Enrollment

Enrollment is like the presence of something—the presence of a phenomenon

which includes being moved, touched, and inspired, but it’s not limited to that.
When Enrollment is present, there’s a sense of being up to something, the
presence of aliveness, alacrity, inspiration, and an affinity for life and for others.

What’s there when Enrollment is present is a sense of vision and the presence of
inspiration. Not motivation, but the kind of inspiration that comes from the
presence of a real possibility or vision being alive for yourself and/or others. It’s
like awakening something in people that’s authentic to who they are.

So, vision and Enrollment and inspiration are very much the same domain. And
when we talk about inspired, we mean “life being breathed into something,” and
when we talk about moved, we are talking about “being moved into a new
possibility” and touched as in getting through to and touching one’s humanity.

Enrollment is kind of like allowing, empowering people to act on what fulfills

them, what is consistent with who they are and what REALLY matters to them,
regularly mitigating the use of force and engendering a sense of purpose.

Enrollment requires being in another person’s world, being sensitive to their

interests and concerns. It’s a sharing between people. And has the quality of
authenticity—a kind of straightness that is refreshing.

When Enrollment is present, people have a greater sense of who they are.

And Enrollment very much includes acting on your commitments, having your
“Self” on the line for something. It’s not supposed to be comfortable. Enrollment
is not comfortable, it’s alive. There’s a distinction between comfortable and alive.
Enrollment is literally putting yourself at issue. You know, you take who you are,
and you put it up at issue. You take a chance with it. You take a chance on
having it invalidated, on having it crushed, on having it made wrong.

Enrollment is like the magic ingredient of transformation. It’s the fulfillment of

power, freedom, and self-expression and it’s simple – anyone can be and act in a
way that is enrolling.

INTRODUCTION LEADERS PROGRAM

Guidelines and Principles for Restoring Integrity
1. Regarding Broken Agreements

a. Identify and select the people with whom you have broken a promise or
agreement. With each of those people, clean up the mess you have made
by breaking that promise or agreement. Share with those people what you
didn’t do, the impact of not doing it and not saying anything, and the
possibility you are now inventing with them.

b. Principles for Restoring Integrity

While the principles distinguished here are laid out in a linear/numerical

order, they should not be related to in that fashion, but rather in the spirit
or context of where to stand while interacting with yourself or others
inside the concern for restoring one’s integrity.

i. Acknowledge the broken agreement (without the story or

explanation, just what’s so).

ii. Deal with the consequence(s) of having broken the agreement:

▪ Communicate with whomever you need to communicate.

This could include acknowledging the impact that broken
agreement has on yourself and on the people who were
impacted by that broken agreement.

▪ Clean up the mess. Look at what’s appropriate to clean

up the mess and deal with that.

iii. Put in place whatever you need to put in place so the same
broken agreement doesn’t happen again.

iv. For broken agreements that are persistent, establish a track

record of honoring your word in this area such that trust is
restored.

2. Regarding Undelivered Communications, Resentments, or Regrets

a. Start by making a list of everyone you have an Undelivered

Communication, Resentment, or Regret with.

b. Then ask yourself:

i. What is the Undelivered Communication, Resentment or Regret?

ii. What would clean up any mess I have made by withholding?

iii. What requests do I have that will complete this matter?

iv. What promises do I have that will complete this matter?

v. What promises do I have regarding being in communication with

regards to this matter in the future?

c. Go deliver that communication. Follow the technology, it works.

Your resentments and regrets are a function of how things occur for you.
They are not the truth; they are your interpretations.

Be clear that you are living in an occurring world.

It is important that when you communicate your undelivered

communications and resentments and regrets that you are making it
obvious that you are communicating your view and not the truth. The
other person cannot be left with anything about themselves or their
behavior.

It must be really clear that you are taking responsibility for what
you made up!

Guidelines for Preparing Talks

1. As you prepare your talk, ask yourself:

• Is this clear? How could I make this clearer?

• Is this interesting? How could I make this more interesting?

• Is it necessary to say this? What does it add?

• Have I told my audience: who, what, when and where?

2. Practice your talk until you can deliver it with ease.

3. When you give your talk, just share; don’t read from notes.

Follow-Up Call Phone Script for
Introductions to The Landmark Forum

Materials Needed
❑ Corporate Questions and Answers ❑ Credit Card Receipts
❑ Registration Cards ❑ Information Packet
❑ Registration Completion Checklist ❑ Phoning Agreement Tracking Form

Context of the Call

The context of the call is to listen for and reliably deliver that which makes a real difference
in what people are dealing with and what they really care about.

Purpose of the Call

The purpose of the call is to acknowledge them for coming to the event, answer any
questions they have, and give them an opportunity to register should they be interested,
leaving them complete, appreciated, and respected.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that our contacting any customer who attended
an Introduction should occur for them as a service we provide for them, to support any of
their interests and commitments.

Before the Call

Clear with your Phone Coach or Registration Manager prior to getting on the phone. If there
is not someone available to clear with, call a Coach or another participant, and go through
the following steps.

1. Take the opportunity to say what you need to say to be fully present (including
completing any lack of integrity). Complete any concerns or already ways of listening
or anything you’re attached to regarding being on the phone this evening.

2. Distinguish any disempowering conversations and acknowledge them. Set aside any
disempowering conversations so that you are free to listen for what the customers
are dealing with and what they really care about.

3. Read out loud to a partner or to the Phone Coach or to the Registration Manager
the Purpose and Promises of the Introduction Leaders Program.

4. Select one of the three Promises that you will be standing inside of during your
assisting agreement.

© 2013 - 2024 Landmark Worldwide

Introduction Leaders Program Participant Binder Section 4 – Training and Development Materials
01-Mar-24 mme Page 22

5. Make a promise regarding the breakthrough you are committed to having, and how
many conversations and registrations you will do each hour. Have this promise be
consistent with a breakthrough in the Promise of the Program that you selected.

Remember, the context is listening for and reliably delivering that which makes a
real difference in what people are dealing with and what they really care about.

Points to Remember As You Make Calls

• If you get 2 No’s, re-clear.

• If you are not reaching people, re-clear.

• If you have a question about what to say, raise your hand and get coaching, don’t
just get off the phone.

• Enrollment being present – don’t deal with people’s circumstances – they are
capable and able. Go back to what’s important to them; why would they want to do
this anyway?

• YOU are the one to make a difference. You can alter the direction of someone’s life
in these phone calls; you can alter their future forever. We are in the business of
victory – giving people the opportunity to turn the struggle, effort, pain and agony in
life into victory. You can do that in your phoning.

• Enrollment is not going to happen without you. No one is going to walk through the
front door saying, “enroll me”.

• From the perspective of the customer, the purpose of phoning is to empower and
enable what is important to them. This call is a service for them, for what is of
interest and importance to them.

• From your perspective, the purpose of phoning is to train you to take people from
wherever they are through registration. Phoning is the only place this happens.

• A critical part of being an Introduction Leader is that you get that you can enroll and
register anyone, at any time, and under any circumstance. Phoning develops you in
that.

You already know how to invite guests. You have been inviting guests since your Landmark
Forum Evening Session. In phoning, you want to take people from wherever they are
through registration – committing to what they see is possible (in a background of
enrollment).

Clearing if You Are Stopped

If you are stopped, for example if someone said “No” or you had a conversation with an
upset customer, stop and clear yourself with a Coach.

1. Clear yourself with your Coach or Registration Manager. Say what you are present
to/concerned about/attached to in that moment.

2. Distinguish what you were listening for. Were you honoring what you promised? Did
you start to listen from your own concerns? Was there anything you were adding?

3. Distinguish any disempowering conversations and acknowledge them.

4. Set aside any disempowering conversations and listen for what the customers are
dealing with and what they really care about.

5. If appropriate, before you get back on the phone, practice a conversation with a
Coach listening for what the customers are dealing with and what they really care
about, using your last conversation as the scenario.

Follow-Up Call Template

Hello, this is _______ with Landmark, may I speak with _______?

[Yes]

Hi. I’m calling to follow-up on the Landmark event that you attended on ________. Is
now a good time to speak?

(Note: Ask permission.)

[No]

What would be the best time(s) to call you back?

(Note: Please note the best times to call on the back of the card.)

[Yes]

Great, thanks for taking the time now to speak with me.

First, thank you very much for your time and your interest. How was the event
for you?

(Note: Be open and listen for how their experience was for them. While this
is rare, from time to time there is an upset or complaint. If this is the case,
be understanding and recreate them. Apologize and do what you need to do
to resolve their issue or complaint appropriately. It may be appropriate to
complete the call here.)

(Note: Below are three different ways to invite someone to share with you
what they may have seen for themselves out of attending an Introduction.
Please use any one of these, or any combination of the three.)

In the event you attended, what did you see for yourself?

Was there a specific area of life that you were working on or where you noticed
The Landmark Forum could make a difference?

What benefit or value did you see The Landmark Forum could provide?

(Note: Listen for and create being authentically interested in what they are
dealing with and what is important to them. Authentic interest is really a
question of being curious – being curiously engaged with the person you are
speaking to and what is happening over there with them.

Listen for:

• What are people challenged by?

• What are they at work on? What are they out to accomplish? What is
next in life?
• What are they concerned for? What is important to them?
• What are they dealing with? What problems do they have?
• What are they upset by? Where are they stuck?)

[“I did not see anything” or “I don’t know”]

I know we don’t really know each other but are you interested in looking at
that with me now?

[“No”]

Thank you for your time and for sharing your experience of the event
with us. If you have any questions, or are interested in the future, please
feel free to contact us by phone or through our website. Our telephone
number is (give phone number) or you can go to
www.landmarkworldwide.com (or your local website) for more
information.

[“Yes”]

What is an area of life that is not working or not working as well as you
would like? In other words, an area that you want to make a difference in
or you’re looking for something beyond the way it is?

(Note: PAUSE and let them pick an area.)

What has it been like for you in that area of life?

(Note: You could ask one or more of the following questions to open
up the conversation.)

Say a little bit more about that

What is that like for you?

How is that impacting you in your life?

(Note: Once the impact on them of that area of life is present in the
conversation, ask the following question.)

Introduction Leaders Program Participant Binder Section 4 – Training and Development Materials
01-Mar-24 mme Page 27

As you look at this now with me, or even as you remember back to the
event you attended, what do you see is missing for you in this area? It
might be courage, or freedom or a willingness to risk.

(Note: PAUSE and let them say what is missing.)

If you had (fill in what they said was missing), what would be
possible for you and in your life?

(Note: Please ask any or all of the questions below to create a real
possibility with them.)

What would that be like?

What would that make available for you and your life?

Is that something that would make a difference for you?

(Note: When a possibility is fully created and present, continue.)

[Connect to The Landmark Forum]

(For example:)

You know, a lot of people who take The Landmark Forum come into the program
looking to take that same area of their lives to the next level.

You gain tools that allow you to communicate more openly, resolve even the
most long-standing issues, and reveal blind spots that have been unknowingly
shaping your actions and what you view to be possible.

These and other tools make a real difference in what people are dealing with in
many areas of life. People have reported breakthroughs in courage, self-
confidence, peace of mind, freedom from resentment and regret, ability to fully
express your love, ability to make decisions without doubting yourself, and
happiness.

If you actually got what you just saw was possible for you, where would that
kind of (freedom, self-expression, confidence, productivity, power – fill in which
result applies to what they say…) make a difference?

(Acknowledge them, e.g., that’s amazing, great, thank you, etc.)

(If what the person is creating is something that you are clear they could fulfill
on out of their participation in the Landmark Forum, express that here.)

In fact, that is one of the benefits that many people have reported. Is that
something you would like to get out of doing The Landmark Forum?

[Invitation to Register]

(When appropriate, invite them to register.)

Would you like to register?

[If yes, then]

[Registration]

(Register them.)

INTRODUCTION LEADERS PROGRAM

The Way The Landmark Forum Works

➢ Anything you authentically say you want for yourself or your life is
available out of your participation in The Landmark Forum.

➢ You can have any result for yourself or your life that you invent as a
possibility, and enroll others in your having gotten.

➢ Enrollment is causing a new possibility to be present for another, such

that they are touched, moved, and inspired by that possibility.

➢ The results you get out of your participation in The Landmark Forum
are a product of the possibilities that you invent for yourself and
enroll others in your having gotten.

INTRODUCTION LEADERS PROGRAM

What Is The Landmark Forum?

Methodology: Reproduce, Generate, Generate From

Reproduce: To reproduce something is to say it exactly the way it was said, or do

it exactly the way it was done.

Generate: To generate something is to say or do it as if you were the author.

Generate From: To generate from something is to not only be the author of it, but
to create beyond it as if you were the author, even expanding on the possibilities of
it.

Creating the Landmark Forum in another’s listening – speaking

directly to what is of interest or importance to them

Note: These are not the answer. These need to be created in the listening of the
guest – they are possible ways of distinguishing the Landmark Forum and need to
be customized to the guest you are speaking with based on whatever is of interest
to the them or whatever they are dealing with. To know what is of interest to
someone or what they are dealing with, one has to be “out here” with that
person.

Possible ways to say what The Landmark Forum is:

• In the Landmark Forum we ask and address questions that are, for the most
part, not addressed in traditional education. We do this as an "inquiry"—a
kind of dialogue between the program leader and the participants—into what
it means to be human. They are the kinds of questions that we all have,
questions like: how to be effective in our relationships; how to operate at our
peak performance; how to communicate so that it elicits the best in others;
what's behind our beliefs, our choices, our actions; and, perhaps most
important, who and what we are—those fundamental questions which are the
key to shaping the power and the fulfillment of our lives. There's almost no
education, at least in the conventional sense—that addresses these types of
concerns directly. The Landmark Forum is designed to address these very
issues.

• Landmark’s programs are grounded in Transformational Learning rather than

the model of Informative Learning. We are all familiar with Informative
Learning. It’s the type of learning we have all been exposed to throughout
our life where we increase or add to what we already know. We study, then
we learn, and then we take tests on what we learned. Then we study some
more, learn some more, and take more tests on what we learned. What takes
place in Landmark’s programs is Transformational Learning. Rather than
giving you more information, something to study and learn, Transformational
Learning gives you the opportunity to get out of the way what’s in the way of
you being powerful and effective; leaving you in action producing
breakthroughs that dramatically expand the quality of your everyday life.

• In life, we don’t have much say in the circumstances we will have to deal
with. In The Landmark Forum, there is a transformation in how these
circumstances show up for you. People in The Landmark Forum discover
immediate new ways of being and openings for action that produce a new
world of results with whatever circumstances they are dealing with.

• The easiest way to understand the way this works is that it is a methodology
for revealing blind spots, that is, what you don’t know and don’t know you
don’t know about those areas of life that really matter to you. In The
Landmark Forum, out of being coached in this methodology, you will have the
opportunity to discover for yourself your blind spots. The coach’s job is to
have you see a blind spot – whatever could be constraining you, or missing.
And the moment you see one of your blind spots, there is a natural elevation
in your performance. All of us have had that kind of an experience, like you
see something that you had not seen before, and in that moment, there is a
new sense of freedom and opportunity that opens up.
