I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the student should be able to enhance the
knowledge, skills
and attitudes of the student’s competencies such as:
a. apply/show understanding through plotting graph of feelings and emotions
based on their own experienced.
b. accept that all feelings and emotions are normal and valid; follow instruction of
the activity.
c. identify feelings/emotions related to the pandemic or any form of disaster.
d. Express oneself of how they relate through the crisis they may have had
experienced.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Validating feelings and normalizing reactions.
Reference: Psychological Support Activity Pack/Teachers Guide
Materials: PowerPoint presentation, cellphone, tv monitor, blackboard,
chalk, laptop, paper,
crayons, pencil, eraser, ruler, protractor.
III. Procedure
A. Preparation
1. Daily Routine
Prayer
Classroom management/Apply 5’s
Checking of attendance
2. Review – Ask them to cite /draw an example of emoticons.
3. Motivation: Teacher will show the word “Psychosocial” posted on the
board.
Ask them to provide word/s that they can associate with
the word
PSYCHOSOCIAL, and let them share their thoughts.
B. Presentation of the Lesson
The teacher will ask them; what idea cross in your mind when they
see this word?
Can you follow the procedures to plot the graph?
Let them apply/show understanding through creating graph of
feeling and emotions based on their own experienced.
Teacher will present the activity using tv monitor or board.
Ask them to prepare the materials for the said activity.
C. Generalization
What are the types of graph/charts that you may use for the
activity?
Based on the lesson presented; what topic will you use for the said
activity.
What Y represents in the chart? What does Y stand for?
What X represents in the chart? What does X stand for?
The students are asked to give their own understanding about the
importance
of psychosocial. It would be expressed through stating their
ideas. Share their thoughts
why people have these feelings/emotions, and why they are
feeling that way. Their
performance will be graded according to the following criteria:
Idea/Concept from the lesson discussed 30%
Accurate answer based on selected topic 50%
Appearance of output presented 20%
Total 100%
D. Application
1. Demonstrate /apply understanding through creating graph/chart e.g.;
pie chart of
feelings or emotions that you may have had experienced during the
crisis situations.
2. Use piece of paper, and follow the instruction of the activity.
3. On the X axis, jot down each of the feelings or emotions.
4. And on Y axis, write the numbers 25, 50. 75, 100 to represent the
percentage of time that
you have had experienced such kind of feelings and emotions.
IV. Evaluation
1. Identify the feelings/emotions related to the pandemic or any form of
disaster.
2. Rate it based on the intense/percentage each feelings/emotion over the
past few weeks, months, and days.
3. Place legend about the percentage/degree of each feelings/emotion with
color representation.
4. Express oneself of how they relate through the crisis they may have had
experienced.
5. Make a summary of the feelings and emotions based on the chart that
you made.
V. Assignment
Read an article about stressful event.

c. Practice self-awareness, self-expression, self-understanding; practice being
aware of others, develop empathy.

Materials: A box or basket with the charades

2. Review – The pandemic may have brought about feelings of sadness,
fear or even anger – these are all valid. We all have different
experiences from each other and that we all
deal with situations differently.
3. Motivation:

B. Presentation of the Lesson
What was it like to act out various feelings?
Which scenarios made you feel: Happy, Excited, Sad, Angry
What did you learn about yourself as you reacted to different
situations?
What did you learn about your peers’ feelings in different situations?
C. Generalization
If you were to change some of the scenarios, how would you change
them?
In the scenarios that made you feel pleasant, who are the people
you imagine
sharing those moments with? In the scenarios that made you feel
unpleasant.
Who are the people who can best support you?
When people experience difficulties, what can you do to support
them?
The students are asked to share their own thoughts. It would be
expressed through stating their ideas. Their performance will be
graded according to the following criteria:
Originality of idea/concept 30%
Accurate answer based on selected topic 50%
Quality of idea presented 20%
Total 100%

KEY MESSAGE
We all have our own responses to different things depending on our experiences
growing up. Knowing this helps us understand ourselves and others better. It’s
important for us to respect other people’s feelings, just as much as we respect us
own. By showing empathy, we can support others through difficult situations, and
share the good moments with them as well.
