Verb patterns
Objective:
Students will learn common verb
patterns in English and how the second
verb behaves (infinitive vs. gerund).
Note:
The infinitive form of a verb is its base form, often preceded by "to" It is
the unconjugated form of the verb, meaning it does not show tense,
person, or number.
A gerund is the -ing form of a verb.
Therefore the base form of a verb can be expressed in 3
different forms:
walk
to walk
walking

either infinitive (to + verb) or gerund (-ing form).
