If-clause (conditional sentences)
The "if-clause" (or conditional) sentences describe
situations that depend on something else. There are
different types, but I'll focus on Type 1 and Type 2 for
now:
Type 1
Real Condition (Possible or Likely)
This type refers to a situation that is possible or
likely to happen in the present or future.
Structure:
If + present simple, will + base verb
Example
If it rains, I will stay at home.
I will stay at home if it rains.
