Free time activities, entertainment

1. How much free time do you have a day?


- During the school year I don’t have much free time because from Monday to
Friday I spend most of the day at school and I usually have 7,8 or 9 lessons every
day.
- After school I go home and do my homework, so very little free time is left.

2. When do people have more free time?


- People usually have more free time at weekends and the students in summer.

3. How do people usually spend their free time?


- Some people watch TV, read books, listen to music.
- Others do sports, for example football, volleyball or go running, biking,
swimming.
- Some people have hobbies. They collect something, do gardening, keep pets,
play chess and so on.
- Some people like walking or hiking in the nature.
- Some people go to the cinema, to the theatre or to concerts.
- People can also visit their friends and relatives in their free time.

4. What do you like doing in your free time? (cinema, music, reading, sports)
- I sometimes go to the cinema but most often I watch films on TV or on the
internet. I like action films / science-fiction / romantic films / comedies /
historical films / adventure films. I also like cartoons. My favourite actor /
actress is ……
- I often listen to music. I like jazz / pop / underground / heavy metal / …. music
but I don’t like classical or folk music. My favourite singer / band is …..
- To tell you the truth, I don’t read much. I sometimes read articles or short
stories on the internet. I like poems historical novels, adventure stories / crime
stories …..
My favourite writer is …. / My favourite poet is ….
- I don’t do any sports but sometimes play football with my friends.
I like sports. I go running once or twice a week and I often go swimming in
summer. I think doing sports is very useful because you can become fit and
healthy.
5. Who do you like spending your free time with?
- I like spending my free time with my friends, classmates and with my family.

6. How much time do you spend with your family?


- On weekdays we don’t have much time, but at weekends we are all together.
On Saturdays we often go shopping and we do the housework together and on
Sundays we visit my grandparents.

7. What do you like doing with them?


- I like going for a walk or on a trip with my family. In summer we go on holiday
together. We often go to Lake Balaton or to Budapest.

8.How much time do you spend with your friends?


-We meet at weekends and spend several hours together

9. What do you like doing with them?- I like playing football computer games
with them. We sometimes go to a coffee and have a chat. We also go to the
cinema, to concerts. I like going to parties. At parties we have fun, listen to
music, dance.
