enterprise database management system.
 Offers a complete set of enterprise management and
business intelligence features, and provides the highest
levels of scalability and availability of all the SQL

its use to development and testing.
 Its license specifies that you cannot use it for production
development

9/25
SQL Server 2008 Express
 Is a free, easy-to-use, and simple-to-manage database. Integrated
with Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
 SQL Server Express makes it easy to develop data-driven
applications that are rich in capability, secure in storage, and fast
to deploy.
 SQL Server Express is free and can be redistributed (subject to
agreement), and functions as the client database, as well as a
basic server database.
 Disadvantages:
 Support for only one gigabyte of RAM
 Support for a four-gigabyte maximum database size
