Preparation of SND WINDOW SERVER 2022
Prepare the Sandbox & create all drives where datafiles resides on source system
OS Requisites of SND
Source and Target Systems must have Same Operating System and Database System and Patch levels must be
same.
Sufficient free space for sapdata directories on target system
Windows systems create all drives where datafiles resides on source system
Provide a sandBox server
Document all steps
Export PRD Data
Export Data to Target System
Post Export Actvities
Verify export completeness
Document the Import Process
Import to Target System (SND)
Perform Import preparation Download SWPM and Uncar
Initiate Import Using SWPM & Start the Import Process
Kernel Files & HostAgent & Os Language
Swap Size
JAVA_HOME Environment Variable
Configure Virtual Memory
Java Path During Installation
Downloads & Install Oracle software 19C

Download latest SAP Kernel files (SAPEXE.SAR, SAPEXEDB.SAR)
Extract new kernel files using SAPCAR
Verify extracted files and set correct permissions
Kernel Upgrade Process
Stop SAP System (stopsap all)
Move old kernel files to backup directory
Copy new kernel files to kernel directory (/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/uc/<OS>)
Update SAP Host Agent (if required)
Post-Upgrade Activities
Start SAP system (startsap all)
Check SAP Kernel version (disp+work -version)
Perform system validation (SICK, SM51, ST22, SM21, SPAM, SE06, SM61)
Document and backup new kernel version
