System Refresh from Offline Backup files (QAS to PRD)

Required Files to be downloaded:

1. SWPM file download from Sap Marketplace SAP Support PortaSoftware


DownloadSupport and Patches TabA-Z AlphabaticLetter SSoftware Provisioning
Manager Download required file
2. While Downloading Check which OS system support needed.
3. Kernel File Download from SAP Support Portal Software DownloadSupport and Patches
TabA-Z AlphabaticLetter KKernel Unicode or not(Check in System status)Select
support OS we need and download both Database Independent and Database Dependent
File.
4. SAP CAR.EXE download as per OS system needed.

Move and Extract Files.

1. Once required Files downloaded move that files to Application System on location
RootUSRSAPTrans create a directory of any name and place the files here. Place
SAPCAR.EXE file in SWPM directory
2. Open Putty and login to Application system means QAS system go to the path where files
places or moved.
3. Here we need to Extract the SWPM.SAR using command.
./SAPCAR*.EXE –xvf SWPM*.SAR
4. Once extracted go to SWPM directory command ls –ltr
5. Here you can see SAPINST file now command ./sapinst it will extract and start the
installation process and from their we can get browser link for the setup check below
images.

6. Copy the link and paste in browser you will get connection here you need to add IP address
and hostname to HOSTS file.
7. Again refresh the page after completing step 6.
SWPM Setup Process:

1. Here You select the system and activity you want to perform check below example
SAP NetWeaver 7.4 Support Release 1 --> SAP HANA Database--> System Copy--> Target
System--> Standard System--> Based On AS ABAP--> Refresh or Move Database Instance
2. Once selected click Next and you will get below screen select accordingly.
3. Select Custom to enter as per our setup.

4. Click Next and Enter the profile path.

5. Click Next and Give password to it (Note:- Give same password in every steps it required
and do remember password)
6. Give System Administrator password on Next screen.

7. Click Next and Enter Database HOSTNAME, Instance Number, and Database SID and
password.
8. Enter the System Password.

9. Click Next and Enter System Admin Password.

10. Click Next and Enter the Kernel Database Downloaded SAR file path of Both database
dependent and Independent file path One by One. Shown in Below Image
11. Once File uploaded scroll down below and check files are placed correctly.
12. Now Enter the Database schema User and Password available.

13. Click Next enter Database admin id and Password.


14. Now Review the parameter settings and we have done earlier till now.

15. Once Reviewed Click next and execute the process.

Now stop SAP Application system services.


Wait until above screen appears of Completion.

Steps to Perform in SAP System:

I. SE06 for post installation process. Select Database Copy or Database Migration.
Select Yes on all screens appear.

II. Once Post Installation Actions completed. Configure STMS


Once All Done.

III. Create new client as QAS old client base and Perform the Local Client copy as copy
client of PRD to Newly created QAS client.
