Computer Networking
Computer networking is the way computers and other digital devices connect to share data and
resources. It allows multiple users to access shared files, printers, internet connections, and
applications. The internet is the biggest example of a computer network. Networks can be LAN
(Local Area Network), which covers a small area like a home or office, or WAN (Wide Area
Network), which covers large areas like cities or even the whole world. To build a network,
devices like routers, switches, modems, and cables or Wi-Fi signals are used. Networking is
essential for businesses, schools, and even homes because it allows communication and access to
shared information. For example, in an office, employees can work on the same project from
different computers because of networking. The speed, security, and reliability of a network are
important for its performance.
