5 Common

Interview
Questions
"Tell me about your
experience?"
Engage the interviewer through
authentic storytelling. Share
something that goes beyond
your CV. For example, how you
overcame adversity, problem-
solved, learnt from past
mistakes etc.
"What are your strengths
& weaknesses?"
Avoid cliché responses, e.g.,
quick-learner, perfectionist,
workaholic. Back up your
strengths with tangible
examples. Choose weaknesses
that you are working on to
demonstrate self-awareness
and initiative.
“Why are you leaving
your job?”
Avoid mentioning anything
negative about your current job
or company. Instead, focus on
positive aspects, e.g., seeking
professional growth, a new
challenge.
“Why do you want
this job?”
Show how well you understand
the job and company and how
it aligns with your experience
and future goals. Avoid
sounding disingenuous with
responses like e.g., “this is my
dream job”.
“Why should we hire
you?”
Reiterate your skills and
accomplishments and explain
how well your objectives align
with the company’s. Avoid
sounding arrogant with
responses like e.g., “I am the
perfect fit”.
